So I completed the swap a few years ago but I am now sort of questioning whether I need to leave the tcm installed or not.

I've been noticing lately that when I am coming to a stop, the rpm will jump to around 1300 then drop to 1000 then casually drop to 800ish where the idle should be. Sometimes this can take about a minute. It's not really an issue but an annoyance. As I have a stock p75 manual ecu, I'm thinking that this may be cause by the tcm. The car runs great other than this little hiccup.

The car is a 95 ls running an obd1 p75. Engine is a 99 b20b.

Any input here is welcome.

TCM won't have any control over your idle. It's strictly a computer for an automatic transmission, that's it.

Probably a sticking IACV. Some have had success with disassembling and cleaning.

Are you sure you have a manual ECU? From what I understand, an auto ECU can cause idle problems. It's easy to spot (and convert with a few jumpers)
