would turboing a jdm gsr be any different then a usdm? does the .4 higher compression make it any different or more unreliable on stock internals

you wont be able to safely boost as high.
usually if you planning on boost you want lower compression. That is why the ls engine is favored for a stock turbo set-up.
I am planning on turboing my gsr down the road to 10+psi. I am going to go with 8.5-9:1 compression ratio pistons and a sleeved block.

higher compression is usually saved for a na set-up

what jameel said is absolutely right. You can turbo a jdm gsr without a problem as long as you use proper engine management, and a knowledgable tuner.

search around. you'll see the same answer repeated again and again
