Hi, i just bought a 97 GSR, and the horn doesnt seem to work, when i press the horn this wierd buzzing sound comes out, like a buzzer on a gameshow but pretty quiet and not loud at all, not normal, i had a honda before and know what there horns sound like and that was not it, i tried to find the horn, the sound is coming from right in the middle of the grill, so i get on the ground and look and see 2 orange cone shaped microphone type things that look like air horns to me, and right in the middle it looks like a little compressor, and to the left behind the turn signals it looks like the stock horn, but theres no wires in, the wires went to the cone shaped horns. and on the inside of the car there is a little button on left of the steering wheel and low, near the fuses, but it doesnt do anything. Did the owner before me install an airhorn, and whats wrong with it and how do i fix it?
Thanx ahead of time.

Hmm...first off, thanks for trying to explain the situation. Most people just say, "help, my horns sounds weird"...so thanks.

It sounds like the previous installed dual air horns. But all you hear is buzzing? What direction are the horns pointing? If they're not facing downward, then they may have gotten water in them.

I'm not an air horn expert, but I'd like to install them on mine someday.

As for a remedy, you could always hook the stock horn back up for now.

I'm confused as to what this button you're referring to is? You could always follow the wires from it though.

I have an air horn in my teg and i encountered this problem constantly. It's the compresser that pushes the air to the horns that's making the noise. That sound means if it's anything like mine, water got into it. The only way to fix it is to use a blower to blow the water out or get a new horn amd compressor.
