I recently swaped LS motor in db1. engine started but it had trouble reving rpm. Engine wont allow to speed higher than 3500rpm I had so much rough time doing this db1 project that makes me wanna puke so Im posting this maybe someone can help me out

-original owner used to run B16 Vtec motor w/ auto tranny
-Im running OBD1 harness + same ECU that original owner used for his B16 vtec auto tranny
-LS motor that i just put in used to have EGR valve but I took it out and blocked it off
-CEL light is on
-RPM jumps around 1200~2000rpm but If I block the top hole inside the throttle body then engine idles normal

back to my question
:Engine wont rev higher than 3500rpm... anybody have solution?

first off, pull the CEL. there is an article.

second guess, you have issues because you are running an auto ecu on a manual tranny.

Did you check what codes it's throwing?? Seems like something you'd want to mention...

sorry where I stay only dealer can pull out code and expensive here very ghetto place i live
Im running auto tranny that original owner used to run on his b16

first cap that vacuum light, second pull the code.

I am not sure but it could be because you are using a auto vtec ecu on a ls but again I am not positive.
