If it's disabled, you'd have an ABS light. That doesn't mean that the bulb isn't defective or removed altogether. But, if there is a fault code stored, the ABS light would be illuminated. Best check first to see if there's any stored ABS codes. That should be able to be done at any auto-parts store. They typically have the capability of scanning your vehicle free of charge.
ABS in autocross working, not working?
I recently went to an autox school day to start racing my 97 integra GS-R. I am pretty sure it is equipped with ABS but when I was driving the course I locked up the brakes A LOT. I was pretty excited and nervus and to heavy on the gas. when I would break hard my Wheels would lock up and I would lose control, take out cones, and end up off course.
I am new to autocross and new to having a car nice enough to have abs. Does ABS work at autocross speeds? is it broken/ disabled by the previous owner? I would like to make it work as the car is also my daily driver and Would be good for me as a new to race driver.
