has anyone done an a/t to m/t swap in a 3g teg?My wife has a 97 a/t teg and she wants to convert it to a manual.i got a trans from a '00 ITR. got the clutch res,hard and soft lines,shift linkages. what about the trans mount can i just use the m/t mounts or do i have to replace the mount on the frame. any info on htis swap will greatly be appreciated.aloha, 808 dc2r

Well although I havn't done it, I know several members here have. Something important to know is what model of car is it? An ITR tranny would do well with a gsr engine... but with an LS engine...I'm not so sure...(gearing issues)...

yeah its an l/s model. i was looking for an l/s trans but this deal with the itr trans was just too good to pass up. i got the trans for $550.as $800 is the norm here for an l/s trans.i a still wondering about the gearing though.

i just did a full ls auto to gsr motor and tranny swap, it is a pain and very expensive but it was worth it to me.
