Hi guys,

I am planning on buying a new steering wheel without an airbag. The steering wheel is from a 98 Integra and I have the 94 airbage from mine. Does any one know if the 94 OEM airbag will fit a 98 steering wheel?

I'm pretty sure the wiring clips are different so it won't fit.

Agreed, I believe the clips were changed around the time of the OBD2 switch (96ish).

there are actuall 3 different clip styles... OBD 1, OBD2a, and OBD 2 b

but if you are just trying to swap the outer wheel portion you will be fine

compatible srs clips:

94-95

96

97-01

i may be a little off on the years, but i can confirm that a 98+ style airbag clipped directly into my 97 so the clips stopped changing after 97

it has nothing to do with the clips because he is not changing the odb of the airbags.

the steering wheel will fit with no problems
the airbag will work and fit with no problems as well

i have the same exact setup.

Hey guys,

I did a double check on the steering wheel that I'm bidding on on eBay and it is actually from 2001. Will my '94 airbag fit this '01 steering wheel? I'd think so because the car didn't change much from 1998 to 2001, but I'd like to get your opinions on this issue. Thanks!

i believe the steering wheel is still the same, as long as you keep the 94 airbag, you should be fine.

all actual stock steering wheels are the same fit wise... i can verify that since i swapped out a 98+ wheel over into my 97.... the airbags are all the same
