A few hours ago I removed my idle air control actuator and sprayed it with carburetor/manifold cleaner. In addition, I used a wire brush to try and remove carbon deposits. I let it sit for a few hours (to let all of the fluid evaporate out), and upon starting it up again, it went right to 500 rpm. Unfettered, I drove it around the block. At stoplights it would drop to as low as 100 rpm, but usually sat at around 250-500 rpm. Is this normal? Did I do something wrong? Or do I just need to drive it for a bit for the ECU to get acquainted with the new, clean IAC.

Any answer is appreciated, and if you need I can try to get more specific. Thanks in advance :)
