from what I gather the 1157 turn signal bulb has two wattages it runs at, 5 and 21. I guess it runs at 5 watts when just on like normal and then 21 when blinking, right? ok and the 1156 just runs at 21 watts so I guess its always at full brightness...sound right? the question is does it matter if I were to use the 1156 on a 98+ integra to get get the full 21 watts at all time. From what I have seen 1997 was the last year they used the 1156 bulbs, now all are 1157 with dual wattages.

well screw that, just noticed the 1156's only have one contact on the bottom of the bulb, 1157's have two. now it makes sense how it can have two wattages. oh well...now everyone knows the difference.
