well i got this car a month ago or so. it was my first car in manual form. its a 2k ls stock

first run bad launch my fault 0-60 at 8.5 1/4 at [email protected] 90mph

sec run was a little rushed on the start but i got it half decent

0-60 8.2 1/4 at [email protected]

anyone else got any 1/4 mile reports on their cars

That's not too shabby! I have a 97 RS and with a header and K & N air filter, I ran a 16.0 so I would say that you are doing very well.

Good run i have a 99 ls and my best run was about 16.1 but know that its hot and muggy i have been hitting 16.4 16.5..

He probably got that time on a G-Tech. That would explain his trap speed, a little too quick for what he's got.

my best time with a stock 94 LS 5spd with cold air intake is 15.9 (95 dagrees)

Horrible conditions....40MPH headwind and 103 degrees with humidity out the ass. Thats KS weather for ya!!

Launching was a bit of a problem on that track also, couldnt quite get the touch to not either be spinning like crazy, or bogging down in lower RPMs.

2001 GS-R with AEM CAI, 18 degrees BTDC ignition timing, 20 lbs. tire pressure, no spare.
14.89 @ 93 mph

When my car was bone stock, i ran 15.07 @ 92mph

wow... gerson911, you got a 15.02 stock!?...either you got a freak gsr or ur a damn good driver...even w/ cai and advanced timing..14.8 is a hella good time for a gsr..im running tomorrow w/ cai for the first time also..hope i can do as well as you!=)

yea gerson does BTDC ignition timing help alot? i already have AEM cold air, you think i can hit the 1/4 under 15 seconds? im going to the track soon... how do you take take off?

Hey guys, just got my 97 ls about a month ago, everything's stock, but i've been meaning to take it on the track so i can see my progress as i throw on some mods. Was wondering what revs you've all been launching at, and when you guys shift. I've seen a lot about gsr launches and shifts, but i havent seen anything about the ls. thanks guys! i'll post my times whenever i get the chance to hit up the track!

i ran a 15.7 in my stock 2k LS 5spd with the tire out then with an aem short ram i ran a 15.7 again with the tire on
