  1. 1996 Integra LS exterior door handles

    Your Integra
I tried aftermarket for my car. They don’t work. Drop the money and get factory. You will save yourself some grief. Just your beer fund will suffer for a while.
  2. Engine Rev problem please help!

    Your Integra
An ecu doesn’t break in. I have never heard of that for an idle problem. It is a computer. The adaptive learning is probably limited to fuel trims. Idle should be good out of the box. In the mean time make sure your throttle body is clean and the idle screw is set to factory. On some cars a...
  3. Burnt valve on 98 GSR

    Generation Three
Too often a fresh head is something the old rings can’t handle.
  4. Car fishtailing after Rear Trailing Arm bushings replaced

    Generation Three
Something is loose and allowing too much travel. Could be as simple as one bolt. Could be a wasted bushing. Or your toe could be in outer space: either too little, or one side way out for whatever reason. Old cars are a pain in the ass but suspension has to go back together right.
  5. are Cardone parts as good as true OEM or Aftermarket?

    Generation Two
No. OEM parts are untouchable. Now, some suppliers do business with the places that supply the factory. That is good stuff. But cardone, as I remember, is a reman outfit. Without trying to comment on their product I will say that it isn’t oem quality. For Honda anyway. Nor is anyone else
  6. Advice Wanted

    Generation Two
Crank no-start? Fresh plugs and good fuel. Continue diagnosing after you have that.
  7. Hello all

Hello everyone. I think I used to be oxides a long time ago. Back again and looking forward to being a part of the community
  8. Vtec problems

    Generation Three
Work has been a pain in the ass lately, but we have all data. If I get a moment I will look up the code definition and see if anything comes to mind.
  9. Replacing leaking power steering rack pipes, not rack.

    Generation Three
I was thinking they were typical brake line. But ours are bigger (mopar) than standard brake line. So make sure what diameter you need. I looked at a rack on a car. When I see a core laying around I will pull one and see if it is oring or flare. But it may be different on a Honda. And it...
  10. Compression tester tube stuck

    Generation Three
push hard while turning and pray. I’ve got a compression tester and if I screw it in too hard it gets stuck. So far I have always gotten it out. But good luck. I don’t know a way to get that out if it is stuck for good. Keep us posted.
  11. Idle misfire

    Generation Three
17-22 inches at idle. Steady needle.
  12. Idle misfire

    Generation Three
A bit late to the discussion. What plugs did you use? Use factory only...always. For valve adjustments I pick a feeler gauge in the middle of the spec range and make it snug but not really tight.
  13. Mechanical Timing adjustment can't get ignition timing set

    Generation Three
Even cam sprockets only allow what...four degrees? I would think timing should be visible under all circumstances. Just for fun See if there is a procedural step for checking timing that is being missed. I don’t see how there could be with a distributor. But who knows. A shaved head will...
  14. Replacing leaking power steering rack pipes, not rack.

    Generation Three
I’ve never heard of those tubes being available from anywhere. Maybe a hydraulics house who could custom make them. But that is what you are doing anyway. If I run across a core at work I will look and tell you what I see, but I don’t work at a Honda house.
  15. Replacing leaking power steering rack pipes, not rack.

    Generation Three
Is it possible to take one out and look at it?
