Try dropping the steering column and remember to disconnect the brake booster

Uhm, not really. My dad was the one who pulled it in the end. You didn't forget the brake booster line did you? I think there is something there you have to disconnect, because we had the same problem at first. I'll ask him when he gets home and I'll get back to you
