No size with fit the lug nuts on my tires

So I have tried a 17mm lug wrench and a 16 and the 17 is too loose (it grips it enough to where I can't turn it by hand but whenever I try to use the wrench it just slips) and the 16 is too small. The guy I bought it from didn't leave any type of wrench to use for the wheels or anything. All I want to do is re paint the rims without having to cover the entire car but I can't even get the f*cking wheels off. Also sorry if it's the wrong section for this post but it's the closest I found

Are they regular lug nuts, or security nuts? Have you tried a standard socket instead of metric?

Typical Honda lug nuts are 19mm. Unless they're security lug nuts

Yup those aren't hex. It's pretty obvious by looking at them. Those look like the cheap "tuner style" spline lug nuts they sell at parts stores like autozone or oreilys
