No. These guidelines have kept the site running and generally much more efficient than almost any other site I've come across when it comes to car forums. We don't need to fix something you think is broken. I read the rules when I first signed up for the site, when I posted (several) threads that were outside the rules and I went back and re-read them I didn't get angry about it at all.

If you don't like the rules here, go elsewhere.

I'm not complaining. I'm telling you to fix your guidelines.

You would save yourselves a BUNCH of wasted time, especially if you are deleting 80% of the threads like Morning said.......
Which, if Morning is being truthful, would make no sense at all. If something isn't working, fix it. Don't let it keep being a problem.
Wow. Do you really expect the rules to be changed for you? Forgive me if I misunderstood your post, but that just sounds ridiculous.

One,you haven't been on here that long to pass a judgement like that. Rules are rule,no matter how long it takes you or anyone else to read them. And,if someone wishes to not take that time to read and understand them, then suffer with your threads and reply's to be deleted if needed. Where did you get your license from? You have to read the book to understand them, right?
If you don't like how this site is ran, then move on,simple as that.

that isn't what i said..... not even in the same ballpark..

what i DID say was that you guys see 20% of the bullshit, as most of it is generated by new people on the site, people that very obviously don't care to follow how this site has been run for 11 years now...

Know what? the rules could be summed up just like this:

You're welcome to this site if:
1) You're not just here to sell, advertise your business, or push some outside meet
2) You don't act like an entitled jackass
3) You realize that sites like these are people spending their free time providing you with free help
4) You are willing to take the extra 20 seconds to post in the right forum, type clearly, and treat people with respect

that sums up all that has been in place since 2000, before a LOT of people on this site even had their driver's license

When I get back from school you all are going to get an ear full today, just to let you know.

Right now, I don't have time to waste on you guys because I have class at 1pm.

to be honest, there is nothing you can or will say at this point to make any difference

either:

1) people follow the rules

or

2) find elsewhere

it's really that black and white

no one needs "an ear full", you've said enough..... the site rules have worked LOOOOOOONG before you joined this site, and they will continue to work.... some people come here because of them, some come here despite them... most fall somewhere in between.... but the bottom line is that chaos does not rule on this site.....

as a honda owner for 20yrs and a master tech for over 15, i find that this is the only forum i can tolerate anymore. i spent most of my build time away from the internet just so i wouldnt be around the negativity that comes with it. i have no problem helping out another enthusist like me, the only thing i sak for is a little respect. this place has alway had a good reputation and also a place that does not put up with BS, its funny that the other forums always use links from here when someone has a problem. so, just keep up the good work mods and admins! yes rule are the backboe to anything that is succesful

So long do I have to wait until my posts show up without approval?

I have only been a member here for a short time but a member of other Honda related sites for so long this it a little weird for me.

edit: Well this one posted instantly but 2 others I just made are still pending approval.

You'd be surprised how hard that is for some people.

Do me a favor. From now on don't care what other people think about your car. Do what YOU want to your car. Who gives a damn what other people think about it.

Here is the clef notes version:

- BE DESCRIPTIVE when you ask questions...
- Understand people are here on their free time and their own accord, sometimes getting help requires patience and understandings
- Don't be a troll
- If you want to sell something, post prices and pictures (otherwise the thread turns into nothing but empty "post pics" and "how much" replies"

that's really it.... it's just been put into extreme detail over the 14 years this site has been up and running
