The best thing you can do is fix the tint and just say that you did not know the limit. If you try and bullshit the judge and officer will know.

If you lie in court you will fall flat on your face and look like a dick in front of the judge. You gotta remember these cops go in front of these judges all the time and they have a working relationship, YOU DoNT.

If you change the tint to what is legal you will show that you are willing to work with them in fixing the situation and not trying to make things harder on yourself.

yes it would! just show up to the hearing just act like you didn't know a damn thing. and keep showing some ignorance to the law keep claiming you didn't know. act like your sorry act a bit worried so they go easy on you. just dont show up like some punk or some hood dress casual, any evidence you have can work for you and tell them you bought the car like that i'm so sorry i'm in college idk how i can pay this off. and say something like i took it off if i knew it dont belong to the car i would have taken it off earier I took it off i'm sorry this will never happen again. feed them bs and your good

wow ok, sorry to bump this pretty thread but i came across this page now and as i checked the law info, i have to update this, in case anyone would search for relevant info about tint laws, because that site above is quite out-dated.. hasnt been updated for years though there have been some changes (e.g. SC limit is more strict now, 27% and not 20%, etc.) so better to check some more up-to-date source, e.g. here // and enjoy the ride!.)
