Old School-New Forum...

Hey Everyone-
Im a new member on TI, but have been a member (same screen name) on HT for 15 years or so, and also recently joined G2IC (same screen name). I have a 1992 GSR (DB2) that I bought in 2000, and have owned ever since. In 2005/06 I rebuilt the engine full N/A, as it had around 230k miles and was due... a year later, the oil pump gear shattered, so it was parked for a while, then I built it again (circa 2007/08) also utilizing lessons learned from mistakes made on the first build. In 2011, I broke a valve spring (but not the motor), and eventually fixed it in 2012, but had some other issues, so it sat and sat and sat... you get the idea. Well, our HOA finally caught on to it a couple of months ago, so I began its resurrection and just recently got it running and drove it a little. These days, I have a little more money (but not as much time) to throw at it than I once did, so Im aiming to doctor it up from top to bottom, inside and out. I know the DB2 was a rare model to begin with and is now extremely rare, so its nice to see there are still some in existence being restored, built up, and just driven in general.
Below, Ill outline the first and second builds, parts, etc. and eventually add some pictures to this thread...
CTR pistons (.010 over [horrible flame travel])
Skunk2 valve-train ([1st gen] valves, springs, Ti retainers [failed horribly, a discussion for another thread)
Skunk2 Stg2 cams
3 angle valve-job
Port and polish (redone on 2nd build as they did a shitty job)
Block-guard spot welded
Resurfaced block & head
Balanced (rotating assembly)
8lb flywheel
Centerforce dual friction clutch
JDM S1 tranny (stock YS1 needs rebuild)
HiPro (I think) header (it was garbage, removed and put stock back on)
3 exhaust
High-flow cat (gutted later on)
B&M fpr and gauge
Skunk2 ECU chip (ran like shit until I got this done)
Progress springs/Tokico struts (1.5 drop)
Enkei Katana 17 wheels (came with the car, eventually sold them)

Build-2: [If not listed, same parts from Build-1 used, ex. cams)
B16A donor block (w/ my B17A internals; OG block has to be line honed someday, failed oil pump scarred journals pretty bad)
Wiseco 11.5:1 comp forged pistons (0.020 over - 81.5mm)
Omni power flat faced valves
Omni power valve springs and Ti retainers
H22 LMAs (shimmed w/ washers)
Skunk2 Cam gears
3 angle valve-job
Fresh port and polish (redone correctly)
Balanced rotating assembly
ACT 6 puck Kevlar clutch (had a good run but overall short lifespan - eventually switched to an LS A1 tranny [I had] & Exedy Stg 1 clutch [longer gears, yes, but being able to drop 2nd at 60mph is amazing; stays in VTEC between shifts without issue as my fuel cut is set at 9500rpm)
Skunk2 Pro manifold (Bored to 70mm [factory port was only 64mm])
Power 68mm throttle body
RC 310cc injectors
DC 4-1 header
MSD SCI ignition, blaster 2 coil, and cap
Phearable.net chip
Innovate LM-1 (for tuning)
Rev (Model 10 [I think]) 5 spoke 17 lightweight wheels - flat black

...Ill add more as I remember, and Ill list newer adds as they come along...
