B18a gsr conversion (gsr crank, forged pistons and rods) with lsV conversion kit ?

Curious if it’s necessary to use a lsV conversion kit to tap the feedline into the head if using gsr internals and a gsr oil pump?

Yes, you will need to supply oil to the vtec head using external oil feed regardless of whether or not you are going to be using gsr internals and gsr oil pump. Because internal oil feed ports on non-vtec short blocks don't line up with its counter ports on vtec heads.
