1998 Integra GS -- mainly looking at bolt ons

I recently purchased a 1998 acura integra sedan, gs, A/T and I am interested in some mods that will improve performance to a degree but it is mainly a daily commuter and am looking to have a little fun with.

I depends on your goal, budget and time.

You can do VTEC, Force Induction or just do minor upgrade like exhaust, air, fuel, suspension, etc.

Just remember your limited on chipping the ECU and stand alone unit because of the Automatic Transmission (there are some that will work for the A/T). It can be done with the right direction and research.

About time I can now apply for Historic Tags for my GS/VTEC Automatic and no more SMOG

Appreciate the feedback. For now I want to make sure the components are sound enough before increasing performance, it is a little sticky changing gears. Will be having that looked at today.

For now the general I/H/E are probably the preferred route.

Is comptech really closed for business? It's been years since I had a build car and was shocked that their website was down

Not sure. I been out of the game (looking/buying Honda parts) for almost 10 years.

I always like the Comptech Icebox over any air intake (short/cold).

It looks like they recently closed. Supposedly HeelToe automotive bought their old molds so maybe they'll be releasing some of their stuff like the icebox again

Holy shit! It looks like it just happened in September. I'm a bit sad, but I'm not in shock. They grew their model to niche and didn't support enough platforms. I hate to say it but the combustion engine as we know it is on it's way out in the next 50 years imo. We shall see when we're old farts :P

Thank you, HeelToe does carry the icebox.

I took the car to a transmission shop due to some issues and they said the delay I noticed between 2nd ans 3rd gear tripped a code as the speed sensor, but that the speed sensor itself was working properly. He suggested a new speed sensor as the cheapest hope and work from there. Also, he said the transmission had recently been changed, so we dont believe that is the issue
