Spring is finally here, and I'm finally starting to get some work done on the Integra! =)
Started out be cleaning out back of the car. Took out back seats, and panels. Removed all the sub-woofer, and amplifier wires i wont be needing.
Also finally finished purchasing all the exterior moldings i'm going to need when i drop it off at the body shop.
The grill on the front pumper had a bunch of over spray on it from the previous owners body guy. I got some SEM trim black, and cleaned it up.
The headlights also had some over spray on them with the typical hazed/oxidation over the surface. Cleaned those up also.
Also while i was cleaning the car i noticed the carpet was damp underneath the dash on the passenger side floor. I did some reasearch, and a found that a fellow Team Integra member fixed this problem by taking off his cowl, and replacing the weather stripping underneath the cowl. Followed the exact steps he posted, and so far so good. No more damp carpet.
Also went ahead, and sprayed the cowl with the SEM trim black. Along with the windshield wiper arms.
Almost looks brand new lol
new weather strip installed
Put the front bumper back on to take the car to get a state inspection sticker. I checked a few things to make sure it was going to pass. I had a little issue with my blinkers not working. However, the hazards would work. Ended up being the turn signal fuse. Also replaced one of the turn signal bulbs. Luckily everything went well, and my car was finally legal to be used on state roads =)
Now that i have my state inspection sticker I'm hoping to finally install my suspension very soon. Along with the suspension i also need to replace my oil pan, and valve cover gasket to take care of my oil leaks. While i'm under there i'm going to do some routine maintenance that needs to be done. I'm hoping to have the car in the body shop in a few weeks after the suspension, gaskets, and maintenance is taken care of. I will be updating the thread as i go.
