G2's can use the same article. If you want one more specific. I think g2ic has one for g2's. But ours is better hahaa

I'm just saying that if they pop my hood from the wheel well it would be the same as if they broke the window and popped the hood. but re-routing the cable is good. but i don't think anyone would be stealing my LS anytime soon.

I'm lookin to see if I can wire a switch to one of the inputs on my EMS to hide somewhere that'll make it impossible to get the motor to crank unless the switch is thrown. Theres so many ways to make the motor not crank, its just a matter of picking which one. only thing I'm not sure about is whether it uses the inputs before startup.

if you wanted i'm sure oyu could rip apart the ECU and solder some relays on the PCB that cuts off the main power to the ECU when the switch is thrown

ok, i cut the green/yellow wire that was in the plastic wire guard to the fuel pump, soldered it to a switch with some 16 gauge wire, that did not work, now i soldered it back together with a little wire and the car will not start. I cut the wire when the car was running, is there a fuse i should check to see if it is blown or what? I have no idea where to go from here, it sux.

i did figure it out, and i got it running, but now i don't have the switch on there, so what a waste of time that was for nothing, but i know how to do it now, and maybe i will try it some other time, but don't cut the line when you have it running, i did to see if it was the right one, but it will prob. short your fuse, the acg 15 one. Fun stuff. I think i will just get an alarm and be done with it.

hah, you are missing the whole point... doing a fuel cutoff is "above and beyond" an alarm.... an alarm will not stop your car from being stolen.. cut the power wire for most alarms, they are done protecting the car from being started w/o the key.. bye bye car

as for your shorting out of the fuse.. common sense tells you not to mess with live wires around metal.. well it should anyways...... i mean you don't work on your engine with the car running do you?

as for H22ATurboTeg's "protection".. lot of good garages and guns and all that stuff does when the car isn't at home.....

ah well.. some people may be able to live with a false sense of security.... spend $10 and get a little more sense

Hey I did the fuel cutoff switch today and it all went good. Had some minor human fault problems such as shorting the fuel injection fuse. I had the car running and I guess I didnt cover the actual switch connectors with electrical tape it touched a bolt and shorted it out. Besides that it all went GREEEEEEEAT!

Honstely, Non of these things work...only the dumb thevies wont' be able to get in. I use to be an ex stupid head...No dont be scared, I wont take your teg..But I can be in your car less than 10 sec and be gone with your car less that 45 sec..trusth me on this one...you can shave your door handles, relocate the door lacth, do watever..I bet you teg will still be gone..
My best advise is just don't let them catch you slipping..
dont' believe me let me try your teg out..???

thieves are NOT gods, they can be slowed down, or defeated

blindintegra, what would you recommend that we do to protect our cars? what do you mean by not letting them catch us slipping? with your vast experience , i hope you will provide some useful advice to this list.

personally, i do think that the cable and cutoff mods would prevent a significant percentage of theft. with the mods, it's a question of a smaller probability that a really good thief steals your car. like what the Z said, nothing is foolproof, but this should prevent a large portion of them from succeeding..
