98 gsr problems

I recently picked up a 1998 gsr pretty cheap but the guy i bought it from didnt tell me all the issues it had. He even went as far to remove the check engine light from the cluster to trick me...anyways it has a cylinder 3 misfire and it wont go away. Ive replaced spark plugs/wires, cap and rotor, fuel injectors, and fuel filter but to no avail. Any thoughts?

Run a compression test and post back the numbers. Worse case scenario is you either have bad piston ring(s), burnt or bent valve, blown head gasket. Also make sure that your timing belt is set correctly.

Compression test showed 210 140 200 210 ( left to right) and all the spark plugs were kind of blackish under the electrode.

That 140 on cylinder #3 is quite low in comparison to the rest. I'd say you have a mechanical issue, but a bore-cam or tear down are going to be the only ways to visually confirm it. You could always do a leak-down test, but it's a little more involved.
