Would ID 9.5mm works? I can buy ID 9.5mm for $10 - needs to cut - and the extra layer of shield in the link above (part #4) is not available :

The old hose has not been problematic. Why spend $100 if I can do with $10? I hope the extra layer of shield is removable from the old part.

Any thoughts?

Thanks @Built_not_bought

What do u think about the extra layer of shield on one of the hoses from your link - what is the best way to handle it?

BTW, I had brought a sample 9.5mm ID and my helping hand was able to twist and push it in with just saliva - with oil it should do better.

Extra layer of shield will extend the life of the line. Whether or not the old is removable/reusable, you just have to try and see.

Buy an insulator tube or another hose to put this inside?
