27k-Mile 1998 Acura Integra Type R Sold for $65,500

Am I the only one that saw the Type R sell for $65,500 today on Bring a Trailer. That tops the one that sold recently at Barrett Jackson. The Type R's are really starting to gain some respect.

on Bring-A-Trustfund? I don't even look anymore, that site is really driving the prices of average cars up because everyone thinks they have a "survivor".

The market is still figuring out where the ITR belongs, but if that one is in good shape, it would be worth the money.

You're not wrong. But at the same time. A clean ITR. Not molested to hell by aftermarket. Not beaten to hell on the track. Not wrecked and not stolen and stripped kind of is a survivor.

Do me a favor. From now on don't care what other people think about your car. Do what YOU want to your car. Who gives a damn what other people think about it.

i'm not so much talking about that one, as i was the 30 or so destroyed ones that will now be listed for $40k because "i know what i have" happened with bmw e30's, porsche 914/924/944, 300zx, etc.

BAT tax seems to make prices go more than other auctions. There was a lower mileage 97 on Barrett Jackson that went for 2k less which looked to be a museum piece vs the one that went for 65k

It's getting to the point that finding anything resembling a 'clean' integra is getting harder and harder to come by. They are all beat to hell or driven hard and put away wet. Finding an unmolested ITR with that low of mileage is really a find! Not a $65k find, but still.... Cars are worth what people will pay for them I guess.
