Honda CRV (B20B) engine imported from Japan (45-65k miles) can be had for $500 shipped, on eBay. May need to reconfigure the ecu, or swap it.

I'd change the oil pan gasket/crankshaft-camshaft oil seals, while I was at it

2001 Integra GS Automatic Coupe; B18B1: 240,000 miles.

or buy a direct drop in b18b1 for $400-600 shipped from ebay. he'd need a bunch of extra parts to convert to B20 properly that would take him over the price of a standard engine. For reference i bought my entire Integra for $800. there's no reason to buy just the engine for $900
