Acura Integra rear wheel hub replacement

Hello,

I bought a pair of rear wheel hub assembly for my 99 Acura integra. One of the hub had the inner cover was loose and came off exposing the actual ball covered in grease. My question is, is this a defect or is it still good to use? Thanks

You don't want dirt contamination inside there in my opinion.

I'd put RTV/Silicone Caulk on it, and use it like that.

In my case, it seemed the rod on the trailing arm had a longer diameter than it should have.

It'll be fine, but it will probably have a shorter life span. I've had the same issue happen to myself a few times. They still last at least 5 years unless you are doing something extreme.
