fuel issue after changing pump

Alright ive started upgrading my fuel system which is my first step in preparing for the turbo. I put in a 255lph high flow fuel pump. Well after changing my engine wasn't getting fuel i checked the pump and its running. I took the line after the filter off and nothing no gas will come out. Took the line before the filter off and its giving a steady stream of fuel. Changed he filter and same thing. Anyone know why fuel would still stopping at the filter?

Do you have the correct banjo bolt in the fuel filter at the line? You sure you dont have just a regular bolt in it? That is the only thing I can think of unless there is an issue with the fuel filter itself.

is it just a stream? while my engine is running at idle usually my PSI is around 32- 40.

Water leaks fixed for now. Working on getting body back to OEM.

its the original banjo bolt that was on the car, and its a steam for when its priming, since the car isnt getting any gas to run it doesnt pump any more, i put the stock pump back on to see if it was the pump but still same issue now, when i relieved pressure in the fuel system before removing the pump im wondering if i didnt create an air pocket in the fuel rail..welp changing the injectors today or tomorrow hopefully figure out the issue

If you're not seeing any gas after the filter, why do you think changing injectors will help?

I'd look at the banjo bolt / filter some more, and maybe replace said filter if you haven't already.

Replacing the injectors isnt going to fix anything if the fuel isnt making it that far. Any pics of the filter and banjo bolt?

Is it possible to install the fuel filter upside down?

I know changing the injectors isnt going to fix the issues. But im changing them anyway and figured it best i change them before solving the issue in case the issue was caused i relieved pressure in fuel system ir might mess it up again

dont bother the injectors. if an injector fails, it is usually a miss on ONE cylinder, or it gets stuck open, (rare)..

SINCE changing back to old pump makes no change. I would think you may have done something wrong on installation, or you have something else wrong.

Ok again i know its not the injectors i am changing the whole fuel systemnto accomodate for boost. I worked on it all. All day today fuel is now getting to the rail and injectors but car still wont start. I know its not the distributor because i put some ether in the jntake manifold and she ran like a demon until sputtering out of life. Pump is running. Cars getting fuel. Only thing i can think now is flooding due to the bigger pump. Only thing i can think of doing is dumping some octane boost jn my fuel in hopes to ignite spark. Hmmmm anyone got any ideas?

What was the problem with fuel not getting past the filter?

Check your timing.

What injectors are you putting in? Low or high impedance? What are you tuning with to compensate for the bigger injectors?

I have a new p72 ecu chipped with hondata s300 that my tuner pretuned with a basemap to accomodate the bigger pump and injectors until its finished and i take it to get tuned. The injectors are 1.25 ohm high impedence but even before the injectors were changed it was the same issue. It seemed that i wasnt getting fuel through the filter before i changed the injectors and filter today but there was fuel in the rail. Is it possible the new pump is pumping too much fuel?
