95' ls 1.8l bogs at redline
Hey guys, this is my first post! I've been able to solve all my problems until now. I just don't know where to start.
I have a 1995 acura integra ls. 1.8l dohc with a 5 speed manual. I have to car gutted and a cage, I run it on local dirt tracks. Engine is all stock. I've only advanced the timing one mark. I'm also running a strait pipe 2" dim. The length is nearly perfect.
The problem is this season it will not bounce off the limiter. If I get to close to redline in second gear, the car bogs. Changing gears doesn't help, I'm just coasting. Foot to the floor and the revs don't change. 15-30 seconds later I'll have my power back. If I kill the ignition while I'm rolling and start it agian, the powers back instantly. If I stay 500 to 1000 below redline I don't have a issue. But that's not acceptable in a race car!
Any ideas? Because I loose half a lap Everytime it happens.
