One thing that has been a sore spot of my car has been the original equipment carpet in the car. Eight years of
service had finally taken its toll on my light grey carpet. So I decided to change to black carpet (as I am
eventually planning a conversation to total black interior) and picked up a kit from Carpet4Cars. I paid $140 shipped for the kit and received
it pretty timely, like 3 days or something. Now please note that this project is not by any means "easy", and it
takes an incredible amount of care and patience (you'll see towards the end where even I got careless). They do
not claim "easy replacement" and it sure in hell isn't!! lol. You have to cut away the corners, cut holes for
the seat mounts and seat belt bolts, and cut away the carpet in the center console area. Not to worry though, I
do my best in this article to explain it all. All right enough talk, let's get started:
Tools needed:
- 10mm, 12mm, and 17mm sockets and a rachet
- Utility knives, multiple blades (they'll dull easy cutting the thick carpet)
- Phillips Screwdriver
- Adjustable Pliers (to help remove the rear seat)
- Cutters (to remove the door sill from the OEM carpet)
- Band Aid's for when you cut yourself at some point, lol

All right, let's take of my car as of 10:00 am this morning
Yuck!! it's definitely time to change it out. The instructions that came with the carpet kit recommend laying
the new kit out in the sun for a while to warm it up so its stretchy
