We are at our hotel for the night.... actually made it to Little Rock already. Tomorrow should be a pretty easy drive *knocks on wood*

Good pictures so far!

Thanks to everyone for an awesome weekend.... oh and this is Trish.

If it doesn't work, hit it.
If it still doesn't work, get a bigger hammer.
If it breaks, it needed replacing anyways.

Iowa crew (me) checking in. Ride back was pretty uneventful, took off a heluva lot later than I thought we would, but sleep was nice. Woke up this morning getting ready to make breakfast for the group and realized it rained during the night...and our shoes were outside the tent FTL...

Got packed and gone, saw Dan (CONEV8R) and Sami ^^^ and snapped a few pics at the lookout i'll have to get up. Then took off and hit up a little bbq joint down 129 which had the best pulled pork i've had in a while. Took off to a gas station to go fill up and hear a BWAAAAAA BBWbBWAAAAAA flying down the road by the station and see a rice bucket go flying by along with the rest of the texas crew, get on the interstate and relatively smooth sailing after that.

Robb, Brent, Hannah and Dash split from the group at indy to head up chitown way and Clint and I rode 74 out till he got off at champaign. I made it about a half hour past peoria before the eyes weren't wanting to stay open any longer so I pulled into a rest area for a power nap...woke up a half hour later to loud rap music playing from the other end of the lot and some 'shady' characters around so I decided it was time to gtfout of there...made it home about 15 minutes ago and its time for bed. I've got about an hour of video from the friday afternoon run to get up. I'll have to check, but it may have Dave (knavekid) going sideways in the S and maybe us working on Z's tire on the way back.

Had a blast, and it was definitely worth it 1000000x times over. Next year we'll be staying in a cabin, enough of that camping BS :)

Just like to say a few things:
Trish, David, Shoremike - chatted quite a bit with you guys friday evening, but kinda lost track of everyone after that, Thanks for the stories/laughs and I hope to see you all again next year!
Nate - I never really saw you again after dinner friday If you have any tuning questions etc. please let me know and i'll be happy to help.
Tony with a bunch of numbers, Great to meet you and I'm sorry I couldn't make it for the convoy back...we got everything finished uploading at the lodge, got back down to the camp and realized that sleep sounded good :)
Sami - Great to meet you finally man! Never got to take a cruise in yours, so that'll have to be something to do next year! Good luck with your hondata situation!
Dan - Great to talk to you about autox man! Those miatas are going down!
Steelmatt - Great to chat with you last night! Your teg is definitely coming together very nicely!
Keith - Damn is the K/R hard to keep up with! It's one heluva machine and quite frankly just damn!
Ramzi - Didn't get to chat much, but your garage in the teg really came in handy! I really don't think that we could've gotten Steve's car set back up without it! And the torque wrench is just awesome!

and last but not least (since I know I'm forgetting a ton of people) Steve (Z) - Thanks for an awesome time! I really respect the work that you put into this site and I definitely see that it is all worth it! i'm glad that we caught the tire in time and got it changed and the problem corrected (Thanks to Ramzi and his portagarage!), and I can't wait to meet up for the run next year!

Now i'm freaking tired and need some sleep so have a good one guys!

thing ive learned from this trip
-bring a passenger so i dont have to take pics while driving

-dont eat at the lodge grill ( tho they had a good soup)

-dont choke on a burger and cough so hard, i farted all over the place in front of everyone hahaha

-walk with caution, dont run over the orange cone while looking at the mountain bike race

-loose some weight so i can keep up walkiing uphill from the beer store

and paul thanks for letting me have a towel from your room lol

and the chick from canada, im sorry i dont know your name, thanks for organizing our bill from the grill

definately going next year, and years to come

Btw.. this is specifically for Kanvekid, but i thought I would share it with everyone since people sometimes don't have the programs to be able to quickly re size images

If you are running XP (Image Resizer):

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx

run that.. and then you can select the images you want to re size in Explorer and choose the option "Resize Images".. it will then make more manageable sized copies of your images

Dude, you just don't know!!

My car was equiv a drive through oil change of a job compared to Ramzi, Nate and some others (Jeff, Zach, Ryan hanging around, all I was good for was laying down on the pavement and drinking a beer) helping Ant yank out his transmission and getting it working again...

I feel bad for Ramzi especially, as I have gone to this event 4 years running, and every single year he is knee deep and in the middle of working on someone's car.. repairs I sit there and think "huh? doing that right here in the parking lot?"... all without one single second of hesitation to help.... there's quite a few people like this (like Jose from the GA group is another), but Ramzi really does stand out

I hope everyone had a safe trip home, or is having a safe trip home to those who are still driving. Had a blast this year. My total trip was 650 miles so nowhere near as far as steves lol. We left sunday and drove four hours to banner elk to watch a hill climb but when we got there it had been cancelled due to the rain so that was a waste.

I got home last night, but my internet wasn't working, so I couldn't really post anything, but here it goes:

First off, thanks again to Steve, all the stress of organization paid off (I did my best to contribute as much as possible too) and we had a great meet. We had a record turnout and certainly showed everyone we're going strong.

Second, yes, that was me in the black Subaru. I wish I could have driven the Integra, but I think it's the end of the road for her. Blowing out a tire and throwing a check engine light shortly before the Dragon makes it tough to bring her up there (the lack of A/C helps as well, though it wouldn't have been needed much).

It was great to see everyone again and enjoy everyone's company, including all the new faces. I know it can be tough to see everyone out there, especially given we were so spread out, but I think everyone did as well as possible.

Keith, your Integra was looking as good as I can ever remember and I know that everyone had nothing but praise for it. Perhaps they'll even get to see how ridiculously quick it is. It certainly showed me that K-series+cams = TORQUE! I'll keep the Strongbow on ice for you.

Ramzi, keep me in the loop about your pneumatic valvetrain, as it sounds like an amazing project. Best of luck with the government job, I know how maddening it can be to be sitting around with next to nothing to do.

Trish and Dave, I hope we can all get together soon again, I'm looking forward to seeing the house and may your perpetual transmission issues come to an end. You guys are always welcome to visit me in Atlanta and have some fun.

Mike, always fun to hang out with you and I hope you find that sake. If you can't, I'd be more than happy to send you a few bottles from down here.

Greg, you seemed to be in great spirits, so I was very happy to see that after the accident and all. It's good to have you back and we'll have to set up some COD4 games.

Josh (dbkid), we may have met previously, but this was the first time I can remember really talking to you. I liked the Buddy Club exhaust and that great video camera. I'll keep an eye on your youtube videos too.

Tony, always good to see you and the wife. You should have taken Jerry with you (or perhaps we'll see him next year). Your radio hijinks led to many good laughs. Four lefts!

David, always good talking to you over a meal, even if the service is terrible. You've owned an Integra for almost as long as I've been alive and that is amazing.

Travis, your dedication of driving across the country is astounding and even though we had a bit of a rocky hello (all in good fun though), it was fun. I heard about your A/C going out, so I hope that it isn't too rough of a trip back.

Peyton, from what I've heard, you've turned into a damn good driver, so congratulations. I heard that Josh's brother was a bit sick after riding with you. If you can come down to Petit Le Mans in the fall, you are more than welcome, even if you are a Lewis Hamilton fan.

Zach, great work with some of the pictures. I'm glad that I could finally give you a ride, even though it wasn't the ten tenths ride in the Integra that you always wanted.

Ryan, I don't think we got to talk much, which is a shame. We all got split up at dinner and then I kind of lost track of where you went. Every year the meet seems shorter and shorter.

James, I have to say that you had the best looking G1 that I have ever seen and deserve an immense amount of credit for that. Kudos. Damn nice guy to boot.

Masood, most of us give you a hard time a lot of the time, but you take it like a champ. I'll say this now to combat Mike's eventual picture, "Masood is probably not gay (maybe)."

Sammi, it was good to meet you. I didn't put two and two together about what your username was until later, but you seemed like a very nice guy, even if we originally started off at odds.

Jose, CJ, Devin and Jason, great to see you guys again, we need to hang out more. I take the blame for that one and will work to fix it. I've got to preorder my night vision goggles and Modern Warfare 2.

Malhon, I don't think I even saw you during this meet, but with everyone this spread out, who knows. My apologies are in order and I'll make an extra effort to talk to you next year.

K2, it was great to finally put a face to a name. I'll see you around the chatroom.

Matt, it was good to meet another Georgia person and I'll see you in the chatroom as well.

If I forgot everyone, please forgive me. I'm still at the point of sensory overload from the weekend, so my nerves are a bit frazzled. Whenever I remember everyone else, I'll post them up too (if I did forget you, feel free to PM me).

I hope that everyone (and their cars) arrived home safely and if you haven't gotten home yet, best of luck.

(BTW, if anyone is on PSN that doesn't have me as a friend, either add me GTJoe or send me a message with your ID and I'll add you on my friend list)

"Late"? I'm not "late"! I have simply advanced beyond your lowly mortal concept of "time".

Great post Joe !   And much thanks for the very generous donation and the t-shirt......    you're "good peeps"....

=======================

So not that I am looking to start the madness for next year so soon, so please take this as just "talk".... but i just talked to group sales @ the Village and we talked about next year already....

I think having dinner catered on Saturday night would be great as we don't have to wait an hour for food, plus it would keep us all together... they've got tons of sports for that....

btw, she said she has heard nothing bad about our group.... and i thank everyone for that...... the image of this site is a really big deal for me

You're forgetting that what started this bugging you for a ride every year is because I rode with you in '06 and '07 and it was such fun. Did you retire your gloves this year, or did I just not notice them? '08 and '09s ride-alongs were pretty weak, but that doesn't mean I won't ask again in '10, lol.
