 i wasnt the only one to go to the shallow end to urinate alright. i used a/c all the time on the way down and way back up, not as much goin down though. btw hows the front bumper doing

Steve,
June is good for me as long as it is not conflicting with the ITR Expo 8. As others have stated, I will be there as long as these two do not conflict. As an OG attendee I'd love to keep these two meets seperate if at all possible.

haha i know u werent ryan but u were over there a few times lol! anyways the front bumper is still taped and zip tied on .. dads still pissed i didnt get a report so i could go to my insurance and get it fixed since it was a brand new oem bumper/paint... in the obx i realized that since the tire shred ripped out my fenderliner that the tabs where the liner screws into the fender were rubbin my tires when i made sharp turns and creating a slice in them the whole way around the tire.. really glad i found it when i did so i had to bend those all up.. and that rattle i gained after the incident well when i brake now its ridiculous sounds like im dragging chains under my car but yeah..
oh and only kinda crappy thing about right away in june is that college kids atleast i know myself are sorta broke and might need a lil time at their summer job to save up some for the trip could be wrong but yeah

I think it would be a good idea to just keep it where it is.....
last year wasn't too hot on the same weekend, so maybe next year will be the same (it's pretty much been a hot-as-hell summer everywhere up and down the east coast this summer anyways)
looks like i am taking another big trip in the second half of May anyways, i too will probably need time to recover financially from that......
so i'll just look at sticking to the first weekend in August

I don't mind when we have it at all, the bugs were more of a pain than the heat.....
I know this is super late but I just had the time to upload some of these pics from my 2 week vacation, I've been in 4 states no counting NY in 2 weeks, so it's been:
Fun, Hot, and Interesting to say the least.....
My trip started with me flying out to FL where I met up with Steve (met him for the first time, totally different in person, well maybe not totally  )
We met up with Paul (smile guy) Thurs night, and started the drive to Orlando where we met up with some more teg lovers....Danielle and Chris....
This is what we were driving through on the way to the GA boarder...
This is what we had to deal with on the road....sometimes I wish they had sept. roads for trucks with load like that
Friday late morning, we finally met up with the GA crew....
Pit stop
I went to a go carting place called Andretti while I was in Atlanta....so this is my attempt at the JDM pose.......I just couldn't resist.......
And finally, this is the beast that was having all kinds of problems and couldn't make it to the Dragon, but its running as smooth as a kitten now.....we had the time to throw on the new wheels and tires and traction bar while I was in town.....she is scary fast.....

I have definitely learned my lesson for long distance road trips. I will budget twice as much cash next year, do a heck of a lot more maintenance, and better prepared. Probably later this year I will open a new bank account for Dragon funds and just never touch it. I drove the whole way without A/C, it wasn't THAT bad except my interior got soaked in sweat lol. Anyways, the Dragon was pretty shady which helped out dramatically. Now that I found out my whole A/C system under the hood is screwed up, I may or may not have A/C next year.

If the heat is the only complaint, I wouldn't move the date. It seemed to work into everyone's schedules pretty well. And that was an abnormally hot week in TN. We'd been having highs in the 80s all summer, then out of nowhere that whole week the heat index was a few degrees into the 100s. Theres no way to schedule an event like this around weather. We'll likely have a blizzard next week here in east TN, that's just the way it works.
I have to say Steve, the thing I like about the meet so much is that it's not that organized. We have dinner and a photoshoot that everyone is supposed to go to. Other than that its mingling and hanging out with old friends from the site all weekend. I looked at the itenerary <-sp? for the emerald bay meet or whatever they are doing west coast and they have strict meetup times for each event. It just seems like its more fun to be on your own and meet people.
