Alright got some pictures up.

One of my favorite things about these large meets is when we fill up parking lots and gas stations.

John's fully taped car wasn't the only one goofing around with the tape in ways other then writing.

Getting ready to hit the Dragon with everybody.

Various shots from the runs

My wife took a ton of shots during the various runs (many while hanging out the window or the sunroof) so if you were behind or in front of me and want me to check for shots of your car PM me some info and I'll see what she got.

and in case you don't know which one was me here's a shot. Also has tinted tails.

Johanna wasn't the only one hanging out the window. (I'm not sure who was in front of or behind us but if you got any shots of her hanging out of my car I'd love to get them.)

For those that didn't see what was holding us up on the ch. skyway it was these jackasses.

Turns out a group turned off on the road they turned off on and got stuck behind them again, however I'm told a large Jeep riding their asses convinced them to finally pull over.

peek a-boo he sees you

At the bottom of the Dragon before heading back up on the night room. I was suprised by how many of us had HIDs.

and a couple random.

Now I did this myself a few times but I knew better and did it where I couldn't be seen.

and of course
JERRY!!!!!

We were waiting for him to stick his head in the exhaust but it didn't happen.

FS: OEM springs and non-ITR car bra. Also radio install kit and TSX wheels

...and last but not least...the doodo shot. The altitude doesnt just get to us it gets to the tegs as well, and one paticular SSBP teg just couldn't hold it back anymore so it just took a doodo on Kieth's lip...LOL

LOL I didnt think anyone got a pic of this, Z was so fast to clean it! Hide the shame! Josh tried to take a pic, but Z was just too fast.

All right, here goes my public thanks to who/what/when/where, and I am going to miss people or mix some names up, my apologies in advance... I am TOTALLY cheating as I have a list here of all people who have posted in the topic as of 10:30 Monday night, this will help me remember who's who and all that...   this post took me three hours to piece together, so here we go!

- To everyone who attended:

Thanks for making this the biggest Dragon Run meet ever. As I said many times during the meet and inside this topic: I hoped for 30 cars, but expected around 25... To have almost double that totally caught me off guard, and a lot of my planning before the meet (example: how to gather 25 cars for the Skyway cruise) was totally tossed out the window and improvised. Hopefully the weekend didn't appear to be that way, I did everything I could, and with the help of some others, to make sure that all was smooth for everyone... i hope that each and every person who attended thought was the case

FL peeps:

- Keith and Ashley:

OG Florida Peeps!! Thanks once again for coming along, i know you had fun once again, i like that everyone else really digs the Arrrrrr! it really is a fun/special car, and I don't just say that because I've got a hand in it..... maybe next year i get behind the wheel and hit some of the Dragon with it to feel how torque helps tame that road..... it would be nice to be able to rip it up without being in 2nd gear VTAK all the time..... You're great and dear friends, and if there is anything i am grateful for getting out of this website over 9 years, it's that i have met such great people and made great friends over the years... i can't wait until Ash gets time to organize her photos

- David:

I seriously could spend all day posting on what a great guy you are and what you have meant to this site over the years, i got so so many comments from so many people on how much they enjoyed talking with you.... sorry about the bad dinner @ Bistro, that's frustrating as hell.... you did catch me off guard one time though: the LAST thing i expected to see when i wandered into the Saturn group's area at 1:30 in the morning was to see you still there, haha... i really appreciate you taking Ketu with you on the whole way back too... i wasn't too comfortable with the shape of my tires and if something was to happen, i'd rather be the only one in the car when it happens..... thankfully the car made it back here in one piece... she's not going anywhere until i get new tires (looking at new wheels too) and adjustable suspension.....   i also still have your 2-way radio and am not sure what to do with the tri-pod that i never had an opportunity to utilize (i only took 22 pics the whole entire weekend, that's just crazy talk for me).....   i look forward to next year and spending some more time up that way before and/or after all the madness/craziness that this meetup turns into.... if you golf, that will be on the agenda as well

- Ketu:

I'm glad I got to talk you into coming, and from talking to a ton of other people who told me "thanks for getting him up here", seems like I am not the only one who was..   Sorry I didn't get to spend some more time hanging out while actually there, hopefully you could see why, as I always seemed to be involved in 3 to 4 conversations at once and totally occupied worrying about this or that..   now help me get next year's FL caravan to 10-15 cars! one extra note: i am sooooo thankful that nothing really bad happened to my car while you were driving.. not for the car's sake, not for my sake, but for yours..   nice job pointing out that something was wrong, and handling getting off the road very well...

- Josh (and brother Jerritt):

third time is a charm! glad you made it, and it for sure seemed like you had a great time...... to this instant, i still have absolutely NO idea how you got behind me on the Skyway run, since you radioed and waved to me as i was leaving the Village to go start that organization.... you must have woofed down your food and hauled some major ass on highway 28 to make it up to Robbinsville in time to catch the lead group

People helping with my car trouble:

- Everyone who pulled over after Ketu and I pulled off for my tire issue:

Big thanks!! It was awesome hearing from like 8 different people: "what can I do? what do you need me to get?", and whatever trick Josh (dbkid) used to get that spare on the car without having enough clearance... i must learn that trick!!

- Everyone who came to my cabin after said tire issue to "fix" my car

I thought of Ramzi right away because I thought "OF COURSE he will have a sledge hammer", hah.... to Zach going nuts with said hammer on the metal seam.. to Jeff and his crazy jack... to Mahlon, who I had just met for a few mins a few hours earlier, all over my car taking wheels off and putting them back on, and then even taking the one back off to put new lugnuts on.... to Jeff for providing us with the great jack, except damn you that I now must spend $100 to get my own!!

And in no particular order, and I really mean that

- SniperHo:

Always always always a pleasure to hang out.. thanks for everything from the donation, to the awesome t-shirt, to the phone call on Sunday to make sure my car was holding up, and ESPECIALLY thanks for the Kronenberg (yes, my most favorite beer takes the highest priority!!)   Enjoy the new car, I'm already loving the shots on Killboy.com of your plate-less ride, hahaha

- Amanda

Added an extra 2 hours just so you could meet us for the "Blood Mountain" trip, it's too bad the rain was there as well :-(     I never got to get any cupcakes..... either i was offered one on Friday when i was too busy/stressed to even consider eating, or i was offered a half eaten one that Masood didn't like, heh

- Dave and Trish:

Amount I was surprised that your cabin would be party central: zero. in fact i would have been disappointing if it wasn't... glad that Dave's teg had a good trip after all the last minute transmission work.... Dave: i was looking forward to talking some the first time i was up at the cabin on Sat night, but you weren't around... then when i came back a second time, things were a little crazy because i dragged the Saturn guys up there with me.... Trish: that 30 second ride to the top of the hill makes me (again) want those seats! they are great, and it was awesome to see you out on the Dragon tearing it up with your Integra yet again...

- GA Peoples (Matt, Dustin, and Ryan):

Thanks for changing your plans to meet up with us Fri morning. Funny how you drove right by us when turning left on 19.... Matt, sorry I didn't get time to look at your third brake light....   Dustin: hope the fact that the rear license plate frame is "used" doesn't mean it won't make it onto the car :-)

- Tony (w/ buncha numbers) and Johanna:

I've never seen someone so excited about a stray cat, heh... Every time Jerry came around Fri night, i was laughing at you screaming at the top of your lungs about him, haha... thanks again for making the long trip, and definitely thanks again for being the longest tenured active member on the site

- Lance:

Sorry about your adventures coming down. When I checked in and the hotel desk told gave me your mom's name and number, I was quite worried. Really weird/relieving how I was typing in the phone number to call and looked up and saw you standing there at the reservation desk, i was very relieved because I seriously had absolutely no idea what news I was about to find out

- Peyton:

Thanks for the beers, thanks for the help, thanks for the comments, thanks for everything you have done and been not only to these yearly meetups, but also for the site as well..... i wish there were a lot more members like you.....

- Coolhandryan (and brother Sean):

That was pretty hard core to go pick that car up, and go straight to the Dragon without passing "go", heh... I wish your bus trip out there wasn't so long so we could have hung out more... Please pass along to Josh I said hello and wish he could have made it out there... Sean, your talk of Prague has moved that into my top 3 of "places to go visit"..

- Zach

I know I yet again thought you had a Type-R, heh.... that makes like 4 years running... I have no excuse.... good luck with the new place! always a pleasure to hang out..... i still laugh right now thinking of when you pulled up to my car on the bike and in full gear and said "what? you don't recognize me??!".. haha

- John (johnbordumb)

While the painter tape thing usually makes me do this, seeing your car as we pulled in made me laugh. And it was good to hang out over the course of the weekend, maybe your G/F will find out that she was really born a week earlier or later so you can make it next year :-)

- Tom

Good to see you a few times this weekend, and thanks for the posts on here talking about the earpiece, i for sure need to get one for next year...

- Ramzi

Once again, you went above and way beyond with your knowledge, skills, and generousity... for 4 years now i have seen you knee deep in grease and grime to help another member with a major car issue.... i know it's appreciated by the people who's cars you help fix, and it's also very appreciated by me for being there..... I'll make time this week to read that book you gave me, heh.... and I will see you in December when you're down this way..... i shall have cold Kronenberg beer on ice !

- Malhon

i mean geeez, i had all of 2 mins of talking to you Friday afternoon, *if that*, and the next time i saw you was at my cabin after my tire issue with a lug wrench in your hands taking off some of my wheels.... i didn't deserve such help!! hah.... and despite that it was kind of a scary moment, the "lowering of the car and almost having it slide off the jack stand" was funny.... that Harbor Freight jack is a quick one!   As I said earlier, i forsee big things for your future life, you're a real smart guy, and it doesn't take one but less than 10 seconds to see that..... also, a huge thank you for running down and getting my camera during the photo shoot, i was so wrecked at that exact moment, i could have sat on that guard rail for the rest of the day... last thing i felt like doing was running down there to get it out of the way of the photos

- Eric (codename)

Wow, I really didn't realize just how far you drove..... sorry my car was being a pain when you tried to drive it, the elevation really wrecks some havoc with the car's behaviour

- Mike (hereby known to me as "AfroTeg", i seriously did not even recognize you when you pulled up to my cabin on Friday)

Before I got there I thought "I'd like to get a ride in the turbo beast", but I got too busy to remmeber that... but from what i heard, the car is definitely in "raped ape" status :-)

- Nate:

Another one of those "will do anything to help another member", and thanks to you all fixing Ant's car so he could get home....

- Jeff (relidl)

Absolutely fucking hilarious how a few of us asked you "how the hell do we pronounce your user name" while we were messing with my car and the answer was along the lines of "i don't really know", lol....   I also thank you for bringing down that bumper, as I have a lot of time into that R over the years and I am happy to see that car really start to come together. Always a pleasure, and I always enjoy seeing the white... and damn, you should have pulled your car back up to my cabin and Keith and I would have helped swap the tires..... neither one of us could tell what you were doing done there until it was too late

- Rick and his problem child car

Got to have one of them in every crowd    Glad that there was a camber kit available to fix your issue..... Good to see you made it home in one piece

- Josh (97JDMTeg)

Thanks for selling your camber kit to get Rick going, it's appreciated by me as well.....   good luck when you go back to Kuwait, hopefully you're back stateside for next year's event.....

- Mike (integratuner77)

Was awesome to see you around again, glad you made it out last minute..... only time I got to see your car was when you weren't around, so i couldn't check out the engine work and SMSP setup like I wanted to... ah well, i did get to see the inside, nice work with the roll cage AND keeping the interior panels, looked great!

- Sami:

Heard a lot about your car, dammit that I never got to check it out in person!

- James (jotteg)

Wow, had a lot of background in common (computer stuff, old school car audio stuff), it was fun at dinner to trade IASCA/car-audio-show stories

- Saad

Great time at dinner, the whole table was some great conversation, and damn did we need it with that slow service!! hope our car audio talk wasn't boring you

- GA guys (CJ, Devin, Jose, and Jason <- sorry i messed up your name... multiple times, ugghh)

AWESOME that you made it, totally made my Saturday afternoon (and i was so stressed out, i needed some good news), really wish I got to see the great turbo lineup..... i got a laugh hearing Jose say along at the lines at the dam "i'm just here to relax.. no car, no tools, no nothing" and then hearing later on that he helped with the camber kit install (to note: i wasn't the least bit surprised, but it was funny none the less because of the earlier comment).....

Next year I will have a full 18 pack of Heineken for you guys, as you gracefully shared your beer with me and even for our visitors the second time i came up to the cabin....   i hope someone got some pics of Jason and his flashlight/beer tricks

I'll keep my eye out for the new site, "ga-escalades.com"

- Travis

Thanks so much for coming out, you seriously have helped the site out a lot for future events as your dedication to drive like 5000 miles for a two day meetup is above and beyond anything i expected 9 years ago when getting starting with this site.... plus you were a very good guy to talk with in person, and I felt bad I didn't get to say bye and good luck on the ride home..... you were right there like 5 mins before we rolled out, but in time you disappeared....   btw, not sure if you meant a conversation you had to make it's way back to me, but it's appreciated either way if you know what conversation i speak of, i'm glad there was no hard feelings over that

- Dane and his new teg

Thanks again for making that across-the-border drive! like Travis, you coming in for this meet the past two years has really helped others realized that it's never too far, and is sometimes necessary to bust out a passport (or whatever you Candian people use, heh) to attend a site meet.... as i type this (12:30 am Tues), there's been no sign of you, even Paul has messaged me if I had heard from you, because he hasn't and neither have I

- Masood

Always a pleasure to hang out with one of the coolest guys on this website... people joke around with you so so much, but it's all in good fun... I hope to see you next year or sooner if i return to TX before then, we'll get that alarm install done!

- Greg (tsugsr)

Where can i get a set of those bright-as-hell police lights for my Teg? hah.... your RSX is great, I really like how you stuck with the whole scene after your wreck, you did good picking a replacement, that color is awesome! Very nice meeting your girlfriend as well, I heard she was in the market for a turbo'd teg, heh

- Dmitri

Always a pleasure to see your 4 door in person, it really is one great looking teg..... thanks for coming out, and enjoy your trip! (that i think you already left for)

And I know they'll read this topic at some point:

- Darryl (Killboy)

Thanks for the photo shoot, i could think of no one better to put the official end of our day..... the location you picked was awesome, can't wait to see the results..... much thanks as always

- Saturn guys (Vinny, JW, Andy, and the really drunk guy from the golf cart who retrieved the keys so i could drive, hah)

Great to meet you guys, thanks for the beers, thanks for the golf cart ride around the Village... I got an extra laugh trying to make it up the hill and here is me behind the wheel and all of you out pushing the car up the hill, haha.... then the drunk guy failed to notice there was a ditch in front of the cabin and totally busted his ass.... I'm glad I got to get you guys up to where a group of our people were, there were tons of moderators and long time members hanging out there that you got to meet... I'm still picturing that wagon at your spot where I saw someone passed out in the back with his feet hanging out the back and then 10 mins later, another person passed out there as well, haha....   one of my favorite things to see all weekend was our group coming down the Dragon from our Foothills cruise and your group coming up the Dragon and i saw almost everyone in both groups wave at the everyone else.... everyone seems to get that we are all "car guys", no matter what make and model.... I look forward to hanging out some more in 2010.... I got a great laugh from this posted on your site... did i read that the golf cart also had a similiar fate? haha

==============================================================

I'm sorry, I know i have left out a lot of people, but i am three hours into this post and i really really really need to go to bed as my needed 7 am start is approaching awfully quickly (dammit!!)

Thanks again for making TI Dragon Run 2009 a huge success, I couldn't have done it without you!

Just oredered my pics from Killboy's site He got some really great shots of all of our tegs from what I saw

Steve, I think my teg leaned about as bad as yours from the pics I saw of mine with my tires squealing past killboy...LOL

Got to get new torsion bars on mine for next year's Dragon...backing the adjustment nut off to lower the car loosens the suspension up too much

D16A1 w/ ZC cams an 4 speed auto...244,000 miles :)

Very nice shots! Killboy knows his stuff thats for sure!

Too much rock for one hand :P

I'll say damn was it an awesome time! The only thing I could think of on the way home was damn these roads are boring...John, you really need to tell the gf to forget vegas :) There's a ton more fun that she could have out at the dragon thats for sure!

So I found out yesterday that advance stocks wideband 02 sensors to replace my busted one from the trip! For anyone that needs a replacement unit for their UEGO, the number is 17014 and its off of a VW golf 1.8t...needless to say, she's back up running at full boost and loving it!

Holy smokes Tony! Great Find!!! These are some of the most epic pictures I have seen in the history of epic or cars! That run was pretty good for me on those Yokohamas. The only problems arose when visibility dropped below 100 feet.

Hey guys, I was the one driving the Speed 3 and thought that I would share some of my pics. I was with the Illinois/Iowa folks (Malhon and Robb from here and a few others). I had a great time and want to thank you guys for putting on such a great event. All of us had a blast even though we got rained on at the campground! Anywho, here's a link to my photobucket album and a few of my fav's. Shoot me a pm if you would like the hi res image of some of these.

Dragon Photobucket Album

On the way down...

First run...

End of the skyway cruise...

Not sure where this is at...

As we were leaving...

This was taken from the bridge by the campground looking towards the campsite.
