My heat is cold after a couple secs at idle, when you rev it up it warms up, still not hot like 200 degree coolant should make it, but hot enough to get by. flushed core today, very good flow, not stopped up at all, filled and rebled, even when the vent temp is like ice, both hoses are so hot you cant touch em to and from the core, so no air, its flowing coolant. All the blend doors and mode motor are working with the cables and buttons, I have good airflow, seems to me that the hot/cold blend door has a pen it or something. Don't know for sure, but eliminated it down to either a broken door( hope not, or a pen or something in it), only put about 10k miles on the car, the po might have dropped something though.
Question is this, can you get you hands into it through some orifice, like pull the blower out or pull the center vents out, or something, or gonna have to pull the box out?
Also, the haynes book I have says pull the center console and passenger knee bolster and you can pull the control box out under the dash. Is that right? I was under the impression I would have to yank the hole dash to get it out, so which is it?

try making sure the shut off valve that the heater hoses hook to the core through is not closed or broken

B is for best, therefore B is better than K anyday!

I have a few questions to ask to make sure I understand what's going on. The blower motor is functioning correctly? When you're at idle on the highest setting of the temperature and fan speed is the blower moving the correct speed just blowing cold air? Or is the overall flow out of the vent completely stopping when you're at idle? Your info says 90 gs, is that correct? You have a push-button style heater control correct?

I checked it out in my helms and it looks like you should be able to reach the recirculation control motor from the passenger side without pulling the dash. I don't think that motor is your problem. From the troubleshooting section, it sounds more like it would be because of the air/mix control cable or the door itself. The only other thing it mentions for your particular symptoms is a clogged heater duct, blower outlet, or heater valve. I personally would start by checking the air/mix cable and door. Good luck. Post up your results.

The valve is a ok, BOTH hoses and the lines under the box are hot as a fire cracker, never stops blowing, motor is fine.   The cables, and the motor externally are a ok too. Everything on the outside is fine, absolutely positive that the problem is in the box, no questions there except can I feel inside it or anything without having to pull the control box out? Honestly it acts exactly like it has air in the system EXCEPT both hoses are hotter than crap all the time, if it had air the outlet hose would be cold, air in the core stops the coolant flow, this is not the case.

just spent a couple hours, pulled knee bolster, pulled the blower motor clamp to the rest of the housing and loosened the blower motor, swung it out and found leaves in the condensor housing, removed the center trim panel including vents and blew out of the fins from the other side and blew it out. couldn't reach the heater core, but I can see the clean side of it, all blend doors are working, I can see them work. I tried to blow the heater core out, but the rear passage is unaccessible, so I don't think it worked, atleast nothing came out the blower end of the box, I guess it coulda been clean.
anyway, still the same. here is what seems to be the deal. even on hot, all the blend doors work reminder, the air never seems to blow through the core, seems like the blower is blowing in front of the core always. I really don't know how it ever gets hot, but it does. I am wondering if the heater core is full of leaves and such, and just cant blow em. Maybe the air is backing up and blowing out around the other way anyhow. Long story short, seems like the box has to come out to fix it, might just try to sell it like it is, not dreading the work, I just don't have any time, especially when I need it to drive. No way I am paying some jack that does low quality work too much money for a job I can do, I'll just get a different car. I like driving it, but I am sick a tired of this nickel dime shit
