hello i have 2000 gsr when i was driving today at a red light or at a stop my RPM just suddenly dropped and the car just dies. it happen when i was in first gear and neutral the RPM just drops and the car dies. another incident that happen was when i was in 3rd or 4th the car just suddenly jolted for a sec then drove normally again. does anyone know whats wrong with it?

no. but another that happen was when i was at a red light. i put it in first. then it was green i stepped on the gas it didnt go anywhere for a while. then it just went after a few sec.

well i change spark plugs, rotor, like 2 months ago.

possibly the distributor... I suggest checking out your rotor and cap, if you've just replaced the rotor, you're probably going to have to buy the whole unit itself. Check wires and plugs for proper gap measurement and wires for any damages.

My incident wasn't on the point of yours, but pretty close. Hope this helps.

Could also be the ignition relay. I had a similar problem a few years ago. Eventually it got to the point where the car wouldn't stay running unless I held the key in the "start" position and as soon as I let go it would die.
