Ok so i am 99% done with my b20 swap and the engine is about ready to go in..except the b20 has a different upper front engine mount than my b18b1, im not sure if thats the exact name of the mount. But they are different and thats for sure...here the b20 one..

and the b18 one..

There are 14mm bolts underneath the mount i took both off both mounts and the mounts will not budge...what do i have to do to swap these mounts? Take off the plastic cover around it? which means taking off the valve cover?
Just not sure how to go about it, and i dont want to mess anything up..
thanks for all the help ahead of time..

in order to take out that plastic piece does the valve cover need to come off? it looks like it does but i might be wrong..if not then WOW that is easy haha.

Pull the valve cover and the timing plactic off, unbolt the mount from the block thats what i did, worked fine on mine. Good luck with your swap let me know if you have any more questions.

Yes you gotta pull the VC off, then the plastic, then swap the mounts. Hell you might even have to unbolt the lower plastic and rotate it out of the way since there are 3 bolts that hold that mount to the block.

It's not rocket science here. Swap the parts over!

check the sig in my link. i did a full write up on this as well as many pictures. you will need to remove the crank as well. but you really should be using the b18 crank pulley any ways. if you'd like to avoid the crank pulley you can do as i did and drill two holes into the lower plastic guard to remove the 1-2-3 bolts, i can't recall how many are there a.t.m. but you need to remove the valve cover, upper plastic timing cover, and again get those other lower bolts out(i believe three...) you can use your b18 as a practice for where to drill. or swap the pulley out while you have it apart, and there is articles for this.

but for the lazy, here's a quote from my direct post on picture differences on the crank pulley and mount differences(it's mostly angle)

i will admit the K's can be nasty but one of my favorite vidoes was of 2 DC2 Type-r's racgin 2 DC5 R's and the older dc2 chassis R's out ran the newer "supirior desgined" DC5s right up until one dc5 jumped a rumble strip to take the Lead
Note: this was a video from japan on a japanese race track
ill try and fid it and post it
