My friend told me H22 axles from a prelude will fit an integra perfectly. Is this true? I want to know because I want stronger axles so they wont break under heavy pressure. I will also be putting in a Quaife LSD if that matters at all and I just wanted to know if they will fit. I have the stock B18B1 and im going to turbo it but I want it to be ready for 400whp. Will the H22 axles fit on a stock B18 with stock tranny?
Thanks.

Leave the stock axles. Its good to have a weak point and i'd rather that weak point be the axles versus the transmission since they're alot cheaper and pretty easy to replace.

yeh, but I doubt H axles are stronger than a B tranny lol. If he was considering 800 hp axles, I would say tone it down a bit, but I doubt that he's gonna break a B tranny before the H axles.

I've decided id get the Driveshaft Shop level 3.9 axle/hub assembly. its rated up to 600hp and if im going to be running 450 hp, im sure the clutch will give out before the transmission. What do you think?

Oh most definitely. Not to mention they don't fit anyway haha. What i meant is stock axles will actually work just fine if you preload them and if they do break it's not that big a deal. There needs to always be a weak link somewhere.

If you know how to drive and preload, you will never break an axle. My friend's 600+whp hatch had OEM axles in and has never broke a single one.

Really? I have to buy new axles for my h22 teg (stock h22) and was worried about breaking an axle lol. Maybe I'll just go with Autozone ones (lifetime warranty) while I learn how to drive it since its not my dd, then buy oem ones or aftermarket balanced ones.

As long as you're not just laying on the two step and dumping the clutch, you're not going to break it. Preloading is exactly what it implies, preloading the driveline so it does not see once sudden shock when you launch.

^ Exactly, preloading will help greatly. However, i've seen more axles go during the 1-2 shift then i've seen go at the initial launch. If its gonna go, it's gonna go. Just bring spares and be ready for them.

precisely. if you haven't lost an axle yet with any kind of FI, you will. and an FYI, the autozone axles do have a lifetime warranty, but you will be sure to use that warranty to the fullest, prepare to spend a lot of time driving back and forth autozone to get new axles lol...and to the OP, no, they will not, do not fit.
