Just putting this out to add it to the common topics in here.

The header length determines the exhaust length, since it is all part of the exhaust system. A car with the same size header will fit the same size exhaust, chassis being equal of course.
In a nutshell, all Integra headers and exhausts are interchangable except for the 94-99 GS-R.

Surfer...does the ITR pipe above fit the GS-R header? Or would you need to do the ITR header + downpipe?

So of course we can see the lower portion of the header is different... are the cats the same length? IE, if I bought a test pipe for one, would it fit the other?
And do you know if there is any logic to this difference at all? Did they just realize in 2000 "Hey, what the hell are we doing? Let's just make them all the same!"

man i've been on the hunt for a ITR catback exhaust since a couple of months now, no luck anywhere....
and so the LS and a ITR catback is a direct bolt on.. after the header downpipe...?

The cats are all the same length at least for the LS, Type R, and 00-01 GS-R. The 94-99 GS-R could possibly have a different size cat but it doesn't really matter since nothing else fits with it anyway.
The reason they changed the GS-R header was I believe for the OBD2b switch in 2000. Not sure on the specifics of why.

Frank - The 94-99 GS-R's are the only 3rd gen's that have a different catback due to the header length as shown in the pic. My exhaust came directly off an ITR, cat and all, and I've got an RS.

sweet, and right now i'm probably gonna buy a ITR intake..lol.. i know i've got a generic CAI right now, but its something bout it that i just don't like anymore, I guess i miss that sweet high pitched noise of my b18 at 4000+ rpm, instead of this mini muscle car noise...lol...
Frank
ps. a ITR intake should fit into my LS, right?

It is exactly 4.5".
I have a '94 GS-R and I recently installed the Type-R cat-back exhaust. When I placed the Type-R B-pipe on top of my GS-R B-pipe and then measured the length difference, the Type-R B-pipe was exactly 4.5" shorter than the GS-Rs.

Then I guess the GS-R cat is in fact a different size than the Type R, as the headers are 2in difference.
