I recently bought a Black 2000 GSR, and I am trying to iron out as many of it's small, cosmetic problems areas as I can in the next couple weeks. One of them being the Wiper Arms. As you can see by the pictures below the paint has been stripped off the arm, I've already bought 1200, 1500 and 2000 grit sandpaper for my window trim and headlight restoration. I was thinking I could use these same 3 grits to sand off what ever re-maining paint there is left, and I also have a rattle-can (standard Spray Paint Can) of the each of the following: Dupli-Color Self-Etching Primer, Black VHT High Temperature (250 degrees Fahrenheit), and Dupli-Color High Performance Wheel Coating (It's a durable Clear Coat). Would a good sanding, and these 3 products do a good job of bringing my Wiper Arms back to life? The paint is left over from when my brother was gonna paint his wheels (never did it).
If this sounds like a good plan to you guys, I'd also like some help on how exactly do i remove the wiper arms? The fronts look like a socket wrench should remove them, but there's a black plastic cover on the back one where it looks like a socket might fit on the fronts.
Here are some pictures of the Wiper arms

you dont have do use all those products to get good results,
Sanding the arms down then use the high temp black paint and you should be good to go.
I believe there is an article for removing the rear wiper
An alternative to painting the rear wiper is doing a rear wiper delete :)

Just quickly sand/scuff them and spray with the flat Black spray paint.
If you use clear coat it won't look right.

I forgot just how ugly an Integra rear wiper was until you posted that pic.
Since your down here in FL, you should just delete it.
I used a wire wheel to rough up the wipers and remove the paint, and then a flat black hi-temp bbq qrill paint and primer to paint the wiper arms off the car. Paint has lasted over 2 years now.

why not just paint it while its on the car? Save yourself the hassle and just sand it down nice and mask off the area and paint it with a matte black.

I'm Thinking about the Rear Wiper delete cause with the current tint, and wing I can't see much out in broad daylight anyways...Thanks for the help and I'll throw up some pics when I'm done (this was the first time I've posted pics on-line since my digi cam broke, and I'm happily surprised of the quality of these cell phone pictures)

less prep time and easier to work with if he just takes it off the car...and of course you dont have to worry about overspray anywhere on the car
Its 1 bolt holding it on - how hard is that? ha

I got a can of the $.97 Quik Color Black at Home Depot and it came out great! Remove the wipers, sand them up with some 400 grit or w/e you want and just put on 3 coats or so, mine still look awesome nearly a year later. -Aaron

i barely sanded mine down, got a string w/ a hook at the end and hung it from my open garage door so I could get nice good coat over the whole wiper arm. Took about 15 mins.
I also have a question about the rear wiper delete. On a scale 1-10 how hard is it to delete it? I believe it was on this post where someone tried to do it and their rear glass shattered.

just take it off.
rear wiper is a eye sore.
but if for some reason you want it
just take it off and paint it...? not complicated..
ut theres already an artical about wiper restortion...
so this thread is pointless

Just delete it. It's #17 on here. PArt number is 91617-SB6-000 and it's like $4 at the dealer.
I've had this on my hatch glass for the last 6 or so months... doesn't leak and it's not permanent.
