today was a fairly windy day here in the northwest suburbs of Chicago (the windy city)
i'm at my girlfriends house parked where i always park.
we're making grilled cheese sandwiches when we hear a knock on their door.
it's her neighbor...informing us that the wind had knocked over their portable basketball hoop and it fell right onto my windshield.
ouch. 
i walk outside to see this...
i'm not gonna lie, it sux. the gf was more worried and upset than i was. i just made sure nothing else was damaged, looks ok
it's only glass so it can be easily replaced. i'm pretty sure i have comprehensive on the teg.
my biggest worry was hood damage, it hitting the door frame part, or messing up the dash
luckily, the safety glass did it's job! that hoop did not touch my dash!
i'll update again as soon as i get a new windshield. hopefully tomorrow, wednesday.
(ugh...i have to drive a huge 09 F-150 tomorrow...i hate jumping up and getting in the cab haha)
