alright. so this is my official thread regarding my B20 swap issues, fixes, swap, and then further work done to the car.
I'll have pictures up later to better help me tell this tale. but yesterday, i woke up crack of dawn early, to go drop brother off at school to have his kia sedona for the day, went to pick up an engine hoist, called junk yard, and told them to prep engine, dropped off hoist and grabbed the engine. i ripped my B18 out by midnight(sun set at 6pm, made my first honda engine drop much harder). so the next day(today or 12/4), i swapped over the dizzy, exhaust manifold, and intake from 20-18(ls intake still in car to avoid fuel pressure/procedures in removing engine). i managed to find why my engine shook so much and also broke a few things
as of now my checklist for parts is as follows
-lower motor/trans mounts
-coolant
-power steering fluid
-p/s resevoir
-paint for valve cover
-new gloves
again, pictures later.
(this was another topic previously, and i'm deciding to save thread and post my build and questions strictly to this forum is possible)
i'm in the middle of swapping my motors, form B18B to B20B4. from a 98 crv i believe with 100,000 miles. one thing i realized is how the driver's side high motor mount does not fit/work(b18=3holes&straight, b20=2&angled), should i need to order a B20 mount, and if so, should that work with my 94 ls' frame?
i'm already in the process of ordering new motor mounts all around, i'd like to get the right ones.
other than that i've found that a B20's great for an L.S. upgrade! everything's bolting right up.
i'll have many pictures up later with how the build's going and almost a tutorial/article worthy arrangement
thank you guys! i'm 90% sure on b20 mounts but better be on the safe side..

Yup. B20 mounts are what you want. They'll all bolt up to the frame, but it's the bolt pattern on the engine bracket that's different.

ok so i made up this thing to compare...
it seems that both brackets have three holes but the b18 one is a bit longer, so if i have a b20 motor with no mounts and a LS motor with mounts, what parts do i need to make the b20 fit in to my ls?? just to clarify myself......

^^wow, very handy! thank you, i'm going to try to actually swap the B18 bracket onto the B20, i'm not sure if that's even going to fit, but i'll let everyone know.
p.s. does any one know where to get cheap mounts?
i remember a post a while back about mtune?!? and energy suspension where they were about $50 for the bushings and such. i actually need alot more than bushings unfortuanetly.. but any feedback is welcomed!

RIGHT
DO NOT POST UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT THE HELL YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT. I HAVE DONE THIS SWAP. I HATE THE AMOUNT OF BAD INFO ABOUT THIS SWAP.
You have to take the upper driver mount OFF the LS engine (remove timing cover) and bolt it ON the B20 engine (again, remove timing cover to get to the bolts)
Everything everyone else says is DEAD WRONG. The bolts are in the exact same place on the B20 as the B18 on the block.

Which ones?
I use OEM type-R torque mounts for the lower front 2 and rear. The upper trans and engine you dont really need to replace.
Innovative mounts are cheapest ones and seem to work well. Just be ready for lots more vibration.

True Casey, but he said he was buying new mounts anyway. He could use the LS bracket with LS mounts, or save 5 minutes and order B20 mounts to use with the B20 bracket that's already on it, haha. If he just wanted to reuse what he has, then he definitely could. I said the bolt pattern from the mount to bracket was different, not the engine itself. Either way would work...

B20 bracket -> DA mount (90-91 LS and 92-93 GSR). The 92-93 LS mount is wider, and won't fit.
You're probably safer swapping the bracket though, so you don't have to mix and match.
