Here's my new 2000 GSR. I picked it up in the end of September 2008. Here's the car as purchased:

First thing done was to remove the stock wing and apply an ITR wing. Boy does this attract police and all the wanna-race-retards.

I'm currently working on the interior. The carbon fiber dash kit is really not my style, but its really stuck on good. I'll post updates when its complete. I've also swapped the gold valve cover for a black one and am planning on repainting the intake to something less gold.

Next up:

Hahahaha your like me... My GSR came with those CF "stickers" in it too.. first thing I did when I got it home was rip them all out... Looks much better with just the black... Now if it was real CF then it would be fine, but the stickers just look retarded..

Just becareful when you pull the ones off of the tweeters in the doors as the lip on those is not real strong and will break if you are not careful, I cracked one of mine when doing it..

I agree the gold needed to go..

Other than that your teg is looking sweet.. Very clean....

The one above the gauge cluster was super-glued down to the dash - completely ruining it. I've since swapped in another dash. It was actually a very decent looking CF dash kit, but CF is played out and I didn't really like it. There was WAAAY to much of it stuck down.

The rest of them came off "fairly" well. Couple of pieces were super glue "assisted" in areas so I still have a couple of interior pieces to replace unfortunately.

Way too low. Couldn't get in/out of my driveway without scraping the hell out of the lip.

When cleaning the car, a can of invisible Glass fell down and rolled under the car. It stopped against the exhaust. The car was simply TOO LOW.

Forgot to note -

When raising up the car, the front GC perch bolts broke off. For an unknown reason, the previous owner had sawed 80% through each bolt after monkey-tightening them.

on the rear perches, the hex bolt stripped on one. I called GC and got 3 new perches. They have EXCELLENT customer support. I can only praise them.

When I installed my GC coils I think I torqued those bolts too much. First thing I'm doing when I go home is putting some WD40 on and re-torquing them. They really don't need to be that tight...

Car is looking better already. Rice to nice, baby!

Yeah, just snug em. After replacing them with the new perches I rode around for a couple weeks with them not tightened at all. They wont move and should NOT be torqued down much. - Just enough to keep the collar from spinning.

I'd recommend putting some Nevr-Seize on the hex bolts too.

MURDERED OUT!

Sup neighbor!

Guys you have no idea how absolutely gorgeous this gsr is. Having worked at a dealership when the GSRs were being sold still, I have seen showroom spanking minty fresh cars and this is as close as it gets. Every time I go next door to say hi to Casey I get a little jealous.

And those who know Casey, it's gonna stay that way. He's being very meticulous about parts, cleaning, and maintenance. He's not cutting any corners.

Keep going man. Step by Step she's going to come together.

Oh did i mention it's a very healthy engine despite a certain someone's *****ing about it not having the grunt of his B20. I wont' mention names but his initials are Casey Johnson.

hehe.

Casey- Looks good man! I never thought about the RSX rears...that would have been a nice possibility had I decided to keep my rears! I can't wait to see your plans as far as boos goes if you do decide to go that route!

Stock for now.

I'm going to do the LED mod that sgtmillhouse648 wrote up eventually.

I spent the entire weekend working on both my tegs. I got the GSR's interior put back together and also put the 96 together too. Lots of work.

Pics soon. My neighbor is getting a DSLR soon so I'll get some sweet pics up very soon.

Nice! That turned out great! Did you paint the sides of the needles too or just the bottom? It took quite a bit of time when I did mine to get the paint off of the sides after it was painted, but it was soooo worth it. If you need any help with the LED's, let me know!

btw...I noticed the chrome trim ring. Is that the trim from an EDM cluster? I thought those were the only ones that got the chrome.
