ok so decided to patch up rusty/bubly QP's .. turns out the kid fiberglassed it b4 so i had to strip it/cut it to sheet metal which is like 6-10 inches out from the wheelwell... not fun at all. Part of the frame & wheelwell broke off on the driver's side making things extremely difficult.. The passenger side is not as bad since the metal can have something to hold to.
BEFORE
finished putting metal in. diidnt bring my camera to work :( but got 2 pics of my shitty phone. will take pics of finished product tomorrow.
AFTER
This side was not finished yet.. only the inner wheelwell
Wow what a project! I think i'm going to dive into this this summer for sure! What are you doing for the sheet? Were you able to source a wheelwell from a different vehicle or are you making it yourself? very interested in this process!
M
nope just measuring & cutting & welding lol... The quarter panel is impossible to find around here for a reasonable price... Same goes for the wheelwell. I'm deciding if i should make the QP fat/bold so it sticks out to give it a mean look.
As it sits now you have a dang sharp teg that could look awesome in stock trim. I'd start with getting this setup looking as OE as you can. If you find yourself really liking it when its done then you can do something like adding in real functional brake ducts in front of the rear wheels...kinda like this (note: stolen pics from member ALUCARD):
But as I said before I'd start with getting them back to OE

that integra is really clean. Some decals can really ruin a car or can make it. & im digging the scoops...
heres some pics of the car finished with the metal part of the job... Also how do you like the drop in the front? the rears i haven't had time i need new LCA's to drop it. . .
ahh body filler in the rain is no good!! looks like your work is coming alright but be very careful with body filler in the rain as it is porous and you will just get rust forming under it.... I hope that has not yet started to occur already.
You are right. Filling in holes wiith filler and exposure to rain will absorb the moistrue from the back. yeah i parked it inside after taking the pics and blew the car. It saw rain for maybe 5 minutes. This is evercoat reinforced FB filler so it should be fine. The thing is though the filler dried completely and ocasional times i wet sand with 320 over filler or putty but immidiately dry the surface after. it should be fine ;/ lolz but good call !
