im looking to buy a short shifter today from tmw they have the stage 1 that reduces the height by 2 in and 40% reduction of the throw or the stage 2 which reduces the height by 3 in and 55% reduction, what do u guys think? i drive this car daily so would 55% be to much??

I L_O_V_E_D my stage 1.

The throw and height were perfect. The height of the stage 2 seemed like it would have been a little too low but thats just me

Remember to take all leftover parts to your parents house. You know they love storing random car crap for you.

Very nice, very smooth. I had never used a short shifer before so it took some getting used to the short throws but once i did it was perfect. I highly recommend pairing it with one of their weighted shift knobs, or at least a weighted knob in general.

I am in love with my stage 1. Its the best shifter I have felt in any car I've driven to date. Nice and firm with a comfortable height. I rock an oem knob and couldn't be happier. Twm is a great company.

i was gonna get my first SS from them but the company I ordered it from called me one day and said that they aren't allowed to sell their products cuz TWM only wants certain ppl to distribute them so I just got the skunk2. If I ever have a lil extra cash or find a used one for cheap Im deff gonna pick up one

I just looked on their site and read the install manual and they took everything apart..have any of you took out the whole center console to install a ss? I dropped the stock shifter right down and slid the new one right up in place. Also for those of you who have single bend shifters do you prefer to have the shifter bend towards the front of the car or the back?
