PLEASE FULLY READ THIS POST, as I probably have already answered any question you may have
Alright, the weather has taken a turn for the cold, winter approaches, so it must be time for this year's Team-Integra Hoodie pre-order
Now, let me give some background real quick:
- Every time I look to restock stuff in the TI store, I need to make a decision on "A) just order a bunch of stuff and hope I ordered good" or "B) open up the floodgates and let people tell me ahead of time what they want and then make the order"
"A" has the advantage that I can just post "Item ___ in stock and ready to ship", which is good for the buyer who wants something I ordered.... but it has the major disadvantage that what is in stock is just my best guess.... sometimes that guess is good, sometimes not so good, like for instance, i am stuck with 20+ TI shirts right now... that's just dead weight money-wise for the site right now
"B" has the advantage that everyone who paid me for the goods is getting what size/color they want, but has the disadvantage that the process takes time, and some people grow impatient (despite the fact I spend the time to make it known up-front what the process and time table is)
Both are tough on me one way or the other, but in the end "B" always seems to work best, and that is especially true as the membership base grows bigger and bigger.....
So here's the plan:
- I just opened up the TI Store to be able to take TI Hoodie orders..... simply pick the Size and Color you want on the grid, and walk through the PayPal process (if it's not listed, it's not available, but I could check on special requests)
- 10 days from from right now, November 5th, I will cut off the pre-orders and call the supplier so she can order the goods....
- It typically takes a week for them to get in the blank hoodies and do their silk screening.... since last time I ordered, another couple has over taken the business, so maybe the time line has changed (for the better, definitely not the worse)
- Once she calls me and tells me "they're done", I will generate all the shipping labels and get the packaging ready, and will then go up there (I'm in Ft Lauderdale, they are up in DeLand, which is about 3.5 hrs north of here), pick them up, package up the goods and drop them in the mail that same day..... I can go up there at any time for work, so it's no big deal to make that trip.
- End result: you'll have the hoodie right around Nov 16th.... perhaps sooner (as i am being very conservative with the above time line)
- I typically order extras if the amount of hoodies (and extra money) allow
So let me recap:
- this is the link to order from, find the Hoodie row, and choose the "Click here to see stock and order" link
- Order's are cut off on November 5th, 10 days from right now
- You'll have the goods in your hands somewhere around November 16th
- ALWAYS order bigger if you are unsure on size..... as (1) you'd typically wear a hooded sweatshirt over a an existing layer of clothing, and (2) you can always wash it in really hot water to shrink it down

No, individual purchases are not cost effective.... they order the blanks in bulk, and it is a pain to set up the silk screen machine
As for your heavyweight question, not sure what to answer to that, as my definition of what a heavy weight material is may be different living in a tropical climate zone, i'm totally out of touch with cold weather gear...
I can tell you that the combo a light jacket and the hoodie did me just fine in a pretty major Boston snowstorm last year and also while on top of an Alaskan glacier at a dog sled camp :-)
