This article will show you how to remove the front door panel from a generation three Integra, and is intended to totally replace my previous article
Tools needed:
[*]#2 Phillips Head Screwdriver [*]Very small flat head screwdriver (for prying)
That's it??... yup, that's it!
First, let's look at the three screws holding the panel on
First screw to remove is the front plastic screw, but don't remove it all the way, leave a turn or two of threads
Use the screw itself to pull out the screw and the holder for the screw
Next get the middle screw located inside the close handle
Use the small flathead to pry off the cover and remove the phillips screw
You'll see a slot to pry at, and be careful/slow, this piece could go flying or worse, break
Now slide back the plastic piece.. it's easier if you lift up on the handle
Unplug the doorlock switch
Simply pull out on the bottom of the panel, and then up and right to clear the front "triangle"
(there's a short video on the next step) And lastly, reach behind and unplug the window switch. Note: on the driver side, there's two plugs on the switch
Here's a quick video on removing the panel after removing the door handle:
(Windows WMV file, 80k)
To Replace the panel, reverse the steps..... People usually have a little trouble the first time they attempt this project
But again, here's a video to show to hook it along the top, slide the the left, and pull the top lip over.. done!
(Windows WMV file, 194k)
See? Not too difficult at all!! Good luck doing back there whatever you will be doing
