I Just got these tires and before i got them i tried finding a good review, well i looked looked looked and couldnt find a good one.

So i am going to do a review on the Falken Ziex 912s.

Size 205/50/15
Price $295.00 mounted and balanced after taxes.

My first impression of seeing the tires on my car was that they look very very cool. When i first drove on them i was very excited. The first turn i took i almost crashed my car though. My rear end slid out and i almost smoked a curb. Talked to my buddy at firestone and he said that the tires come out of a wax mold and i should be careful the first couple hundred miles. The road noise is very quiet and the bumps feel a little less harsh.

I will update this in a few days when i have broken the tires in and let u know how they handle when pushed and if there is an squealing. I will also let you guys know how the tires wear.

So far for $295.00 out the door i am pleased. Look back in a few days and i will update this for sure. Ill also get some pics of the tires.

I have these for my front tires, can vouch that for the price of $135 installed that they are quite excellent. They handle great in the rain!

The 912's are actually surprisingly progressive and consistent, and their level of grip is decent for an all-season. My GF has them on her DD Ford Focus. They're no AD08's or even S.Drives for that matter, but the 912's are probably my favorite 'sporty' all-season. I think Falken needs to take consistency of the 912 and put it into their race tires.

I agree nick...the 615k's are a disappointment.

I really like my 912's though for an all season. You'll really come to love them in the wet. They are no NT01's, but they really are about the stickiest allseason out there. I really want to try the bridgestone RE960's out next though

I'm on my second set of these tires (195-50-15 on fat 5's) and just finished the dragon/cherohala run with these tires half worn. NEVER a problem on either road and the skyway was wet for a good portion of it. They were right about the break in period though, be super careful for the first 1000 miles or so. Im surprised you couldn't find a review, consumer reports rated these very high, #2 right behind a michelin costing twice as much.

I have them on my blades.. bought at tiretrack.com about a year ago for $200 . they hold up really good in all kinds of weather, very impressed by them, they were great at dragon run this year too. Probably will by them again, just will get a small size tire.

owning an teg is all about how much of a risk you are willing to take

I absolutely love my ziex 912's. I probably have about 10,000 miles on my 205/50/15's. They're at about 6/32 still and handle great in inclement weather. Surprisingly enough, they also respond quite well to spirited driving. But, that's what my Azenis' are for.

I Agree with the guys. I've got the ziex on my teg about 8 months ago, & I love them so far... They've even been great for me at autoX.

I feel like interjecting a bit here. I keep seeing references comparing tire A in category XX and tire B in category XY. It's always important to note that tires in an all-season categories shouldn't have their level of grip compare with tires in the summer categories. I wouldn't even compare grip between the different summer tire categories. I recommend only comparing tires in the same category, ie Ultra-High-Performance Summer, Ultra-High Performance All-Season, Extreme Performance (Or Max Performance), etc.
