Cool Rhapsody's Last VTEC GSR Build

My 4th Integra. Hoping it will be my last. Moved out to the desert for my engineering job.
Previous:
1996 CGP Acura Integra LS A/T (Totaled)
1990 RR Acura Integra LS M/T (Totaled in Lake)
1994 GBP Acura Integra RS M/T (Work Daily)

1996 CGP Acura Integra GS-R M/T (Project)

It isn't my first rodeo. I did some basic mechanic work in the past. Got this from a co-worker who was retiring. Never modified.
First rule of order is check the engine internals and see if it needs a rebuild or mildly upgrades once I figure out my power goals.

Goals:
1. Seat time at the track (Likely Streets of Willow)
2. Keep CARB Legal to the best of my ability or switch every 2 years as smoothly as possible.
3. Fast/Reliable/Cheap? Reliable and Cheap keeping with B-Series. Not thinking about more power unless I go K-Series.
4. Respray. Considering new color including engine bay and changing the interior.
5. Make use of all the bolt-ons I have in storage over the years.
6. Move parts over from the RS over to the GS-R.
7. Network back to the Honda roots with other enthusiasts.
8. Attend social meets and catch up on the interesting trends.

More to come. Cheers. I'm back.

I have this in the garage. JDM B18C GSR with C1 head. Rebuilt 10k miles.

OBD1 P72. Perhaps I may need to pick up a S300?

Mishimoto Kit. Need to pull it off the RS.

B16A2 SI Transmission. Shorter gears to help with track?

So spare motor and transmission. Can tune by converting to OBD1 with spare ECU. Perhaps I can swap ECUs?

Oh, forgot about this.

LHT mod sounds very tempting.

Feedback, constructive criticisms, opinions are welcome.

Finally opened my package.

Blower pulley.

Belts.

Zerg Industries Manifold Gasket

Broken during shipment. Bracket for the stock throttle body. FUBAR.

STR Fuel Rail. IIRC they're from BDL Industries.
440cc RC Injectors. Saturated SL9-440. I'll be sending these out to get cleaned up. Was told the setup had 20k on the motor. Contemplating if I should just replace with stock throttle body.

Welcome back sir, that JRSC looks like fun. That's one of my WTBs one day. Can't wait to see the thread unfold.

Went to RC Fuel Injection in Torrance to drop off my 440s to get serviced and cleaned up.

Also picked this OG Comptech header in great condition. Came with a 2.25" 1320 Test Pipe. Not too keen with the 2" collector but I think it'll do for bolt-ons for this summer's track season. Shooting to have the motor and supercharger in next year but we will see.

Let's meet up at the track soon! Need to catch up. Perhaps BBQ as well with the community?

Update. Started putting my aftermarket parts from my RS over to the GSR. Buddy Clubs rocking them since 2011.

Function and Form Type 1's with Function7 LCAs and endlinks. Torquing down the suspension makes a huge difference!

Mishimoto Setup. Opted out of the fan switch and thermostat for now.

Got it aligned, fresh coolant, fresh synthetic oil, fresh brake fluid (DOT3 unfortunately) then off to...

Streets of Willow!

First time out there. Note to self:

1. Bring a canopy with cooler + water. 80's roasting in the sun was no fun.
2. Chairs please. My girlfriend did not enjoy the morning.
3. Tire pressure gauge and the rest of my brake tools.
4. Convince friend to bring a second car! Jack + stands + brake parts + tools are heavy in the trunk!
5. Charge your phone battery and bring a GoPro/Action Camera!
6. Don't be shy, network and get along with everyone!

Had to leave after the first beginner's session since my ABS was being wonky and brakes vibrated like crazy on the downhill. Good experience nonetheless. I'm happy with my 1:58 best time. I was "PENULTIMATE"! I wasn't last but I was second to last!

I'm behind the blue camaro. Looking forward to going again for a full day before I run the JRSC!

I may be heading out to Grange Motor Circuit in a few months over in Apple Valley, CA. I have a friend with an S2K that shoots cars and figured it'd be fun to spend a track day together. Would be fun to see what setup I have ready by then.

I received an e-mail from Jim at Motorvations that my parts will be coming in hopefully today and shipped next week. Stay tuned to see!
