2nd_gen's 99 integra daily driver log

EDIT: JUST REALIZED THAT I HAVE ONLY 14 POST...LOL...IM SUCH A MOOCHER

***********************

hey wsup guys.

i havent been on this forum in YEARS!!
names wilson....and im back. :]

last time i had a integra, it ended up being totalled due to a hit and run. I didnt have the coverage on my policy to cover the car damages so it ended up being junked.

I then moved onto different hondas and eventually stepped out of the honda game for about 2 years.

after 2 years, the bug bit....

I ended up with a 1995 civic hatchback...which i currently still have and is my current project car.

i spent a lot of my time with this car... and needed a daily driver asap.

which leads to a 4 door civic

my daily was considered a total loss from insurance company a few months back due to a crack head jumping and dancing on the roof of the car.

just 3 days ago, my buddy at the local honda dealership informed me about his co-workers car, which was left sitting for a year.
she ended up purchasing a new civic and had this integra sitting at the lot.

she didnt need the car so i did acquire this car for a steeeeeaaaal!
the battery was dead and it needed maintanence. the body was not perfect, but for the price of 800.00, im fine with it.

it has 122k miles
2 owners
mint interior
clean title
female owned

it does have some aftermarket parts on it...(aem intake, clear bumper lights, and some razo pedals)
everything else is original including all body panels and glass

and btw...i we dont play with maintanance lol
oem fluids

i do work at a body shop so parts are easily acquired but i have no intentions on making the car "show" quality.

i have a used fender and hood coming tomrrow. already silver so we will see how that goes

my main thing is to make it reliable, comfortable, and kinda modified.

it is a automatic, and i plan to leave it a automatic.
the car did die on me today on the way to work, so i had to get it towed.

the dizzy was done...so today i installed a new dizzy, new plugs, new wires, new vc gasket, and did a oil change :]

came into work this morning to find the hood and fender sitting at the shop wwaiting for me :]

so i threw those on and man...made the car look so much better.

now all i gotta worry about is the 1/4 panel damage.

im trying to prevent painting the car so if my PDR guy ever has a chance to stop by, imma have him push it out as much as possible. i know its not gunna be perfect, but anything is better that how it is now

bought myself a new head unit.

there is currently a oem cd player in the car and i hate using the portable GPS or phone gps (due to the fact that i hate things suctioned on my windshield.

this unit surprised me at the CES event and finding out that it was around 200.00 got me really excited.

im currently waiting on the mount kit and harness to arrive..but here she is

i did pick up some new headlights. my passenger headlight was broken and had a hole.
the headlights

headlights i picked up has already been retrofitted.. what projector? i have no idea.
includes oem ballast but no bulb so i had to buy some aftermarket bulbs.

Ill bet ya $10 the Timing belt has never been done. That is typically the mileage people trade them in due to the cost of a Timing Belt Job. Look down near your alternator and try to determine f it has a NEW water pump. if not your next toy should be a TB and WP job. Especially with that age.

If you are never out of control you are not driving fast enough

heres a picture of the lights on/off

its not the best, but it is a lot more light output than the stock yellowed halogens.

now im in the market for a slight drop.
not looking to slam the car, just something that closes the wheel gap a bit.
probably gunna be looking for stock itr setup.

i do have a set of kosei k1s. unfortunately, they are 15s. time to browse around to see how it will look with a slight drop

15s will work just fine for the teg. 15s are usually the preferred rim size for alot of people (including me)

had a spare gsr muffler tip at the house...so threw that bad boy on too. looks so much better than no tip

i have a trade going....labor for labor. i do some audio/video/alarm install and in return.....1/4 panel repair :]

195/55-15's are what came on OEM ITR's here in the states. Good news is, you can get really nice tires for really, really cheap. Under $500 for Direzza ZII's.
