you don't know how many times I've thanked him...he does his best to tune conservative as well as try to take it towards your goal...I forgot to add I'm on 100 octane
Teg looks tough bro glad to see another drag race nut around here. Shootin for the tens this year myself after curing some issues from last years setup.
PS let me see your bay! Drivers headlight looks gutted in the pix you running an inlet through the headlight?
ur car looks good too! Hella sleeper! The headlight was a last minute thing I made with a yellow fogged up headlight and some sheet metal...I am redoing it and will post once its done correctly...my engine bay looks like **** anyways lol
They actually didnt say anything to me because i was disqualified from bracket racing...i hit that 11.4 when they had "fun runs" for those who where eliminated in 1st and 2nd round and that was my last run anyways...if i can dip into 10s, I am going to order a fire jacket and get a cage...i still drive the car around so I dont wanna put a cage in it just yet simply because i dont wanna lose any panels and hack up my dash
getting 2 step and being able to build at "set" pressure every-time would helpful. as it would let you leave in boost, but than you might need a dual stage control to control the off the line pressure
I was sixty footing low 1.7s with only 300hp(running 11.8 to 12.1), so if you would be able to get down to low or mid 1.7s you should be able to get in the 10s.
that are my plans for the next event i go to...programming in 2 step and possibly setting the rev limit to 9k instead of 8400...i just need a little bit more seat time as im not really used to the power yet...ran 3 times on sunday and hit a 11.6 off the trailer 12.1 bogging first then the 11.4 then back on trailer LOL
not really a fan of boost by gear..i have many friends who have that option and dont use it cause it is just more of a headache...600+hp maybe because no traction...i grip pretty well on 24.5x7x13 at 7psi not really necessary for me to upgrade and waste more money
cruise control has been off back then. Its a street car also so i dont wanna get rid of my sunroof...wat im debating about is if i should get rid of my ABS...what do you guys think?
I see your point, I will likely be running that very size mickey's but with about 100-150 more hp boost by gear should come in handy, I look forward to following your build thumbsup
just saw ur blinging build to...hope to see that on the street/track soon!
Its really funny how two of my friends talk smack about me having a baby motor when they are both 2.0 sleeved LSVTECs with gt35r turbos and run the same time as me...and their setups are in a 3rd gen RS and a EK coupe which are wayyyy lighter than my car LOL
might be going to the track again on april 14th for a test and tune...i think i am going to borrow my friends digital 6 so I can set my 2 step and see if building boost at the line will help me improve my times...wat do u guys think?
been a while i havent updated...went to an event recently and wasnt able to do anything better than a 11.4 since it was soo hot one of my couplers got soft and ripped and also was spinning on my 24.5x7 slicks at 8psi...next week im yanking out the motor to take out the ABS, wire tuck and clean up my engine bay for the Blox meet in July...will update with pictures soon
car is currently in the paint shop getting the engine bay sprayed...pic is before i took majority of the lines out...wire tuck is basically done in the bay and on the motor. Took out my ABS and lines so ill be tucking the brake lines and changing the clutch line out to a SS one...got bored and painted my valve cover to see what it looks like...LOL
wow, must say you got one serious build! im also redoing my bay but ill be pleased with 350 ponies. Impressive how long the stock motor can last.. 9 yrs and like 3/4 different kits is a toll and you dais you daily the teg.. good to hear lol.
yea the motor has been treating me really well...i rarely drive the car now because i got a 9-5 job that requires me to drive in traffic so no bueno...LOL i hope i can get everything together again before the show this saturday...crunch time FTL
i saw it recently but i bought one already at a local speed shop...i was gonna get one from you but it wont make it in time unless i pay for overnight shipping which is not worth it...LOL
hopefully he sprays it tonite and i get it back tomorrow so i can start working on it after work...i have good friends who are shop owners who will help me and let me work at the shop at crack head hours of the night to hopefully finish it up before saturday!
Sick build. What a monster you have there. Car still looking clean too haha good luck with your quest !!
