UPDATES:
pg 21 as of 1/18/12 Wink Mirror pg. 20 as of 1/14/12 new champ white rims pg 14 new paint pics pg. 7 as of 7/23 Optional Kit installed pg.5 as of 6/24 new rims pg. 3 as of 4/20/11 pg. 4 most recent pic LOL, well i guess soon i won't be a kid since i'm about to turn 21 ![]() anyway my thread is long overdue, as i've owned this car over a year. when i first bought it, i was in a predicament as my other dd broke down. i was already looking for an integra, but that started like half a year before hand. AS LUCK WOULD HAVE IT, 3 days later i found this at a reasonable price, bone stock, no mods, clean title, low mileage. 2000 Integra LS so here is how my car sits now after the work i've put into it. (after new paint job) ![]() ![]() ![]() ...and how it looked a while ago, before the optional kit (gf is not amused) ![]() day one 100% bone stock ![]() Here it is a little after i first bought it. the first thing i bought was a type r rep lip (also my first craigslist purchase lol) next i new i could never go wingless, but working on a budget i knew getting a type r wing would be pointless without painting it, but thats expensive. SO i went with a Seibon carbon fiber itr spoiler, that way i could get by without painting it lol. (also i DIY red'd out my acura emblem. see how lame i was??? kid with a honda...facepalm right?) OH, and see the "jdm" new driver badge? yeah it was printed out. *sigh* kids these days.... ![]() next i knew i'd need fogs. ![]() i also did my roof in black vinyl to cover a little oxidation lol. ![]() tried out the carbon fiber hood look. didn't like it too much. plus the hood was oxidized and had hood pins (cl deal. working on a budget guys.) ![]() hmmm, didn;t take long before i ditched the cf hood. made a deal for a cleeean freshly painted stage 3 black oem hood. (notice by this point STILL stock height-on a budget- and STILL unpainted front lip-on a budget-) at least i un red'd out my acura symbols -_- ![]() oh cool, picked up a rear window visor. (those are 100% not functional btw. when it rains it really dose nothing to block rain.) ![]() SO...by this point its like ok, what now? well i hated not having painted side skirts...i always wanted the itr replica skirts and rear lip (oem optional kit) but too pricey just for REP items. +i would need to pay to have them painted. so after long searching on cl, i finally found someone with a whole set of lips already paint matched for my car for UNDER a hundred bucks. BUT they weren't optional kits..it was the WW kit. oh well, the rear lip is actually pretty nice. and the sideskirts are actually MUGEN type r skirts. but there was no way i was about to put on the gigantic flashy front lip. i find it ugly. but its for sale if anyone wants it... ![]() so we're nearing the end of the journey now...and its like ok, now what do i want...well, the front lip was still unpainted. a skilled job costs too much for merely a lip. time for another DIY!! it was my first time painting anything. but i also got one of my favorite items. OEM honda type r emblems. i dont like the look of the integra ones..they look too retro for me. instead i like the mirror-looking flat ones on the RSX and 8th gen civic. so thats what i went and got. ![]() Time to wrap this dumb thread up (cam whore, yes i am aware). FINAL PICK-UPS: oem jdm "integra" rsx emblem, side window visors, FINALLY got my drop on H&R sports (i love these springs, so comfortable imo and ideal drop for a dd integra) and a Canon T2i camera just recently. the following pics are from yesterday's shoot. i'm a noob at DSLRs, but i think i have the basics down. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() if you got this far, thanks for hearing my story. all parts were bought on a budget of a poor working college student. each at low cost. i think i like how my car turned out. no future plans as of now i have everything i ever wanted on my car. maybe someday the optional kit, but what i have now has kinda grown on me.

The teg looks great. Those CF ITR wings always compliment silver tegs very well.
...and I have to comment on the drift thing: I end up literally drifting my teg frequently when I autox. Stiff suspension plus cold tires make throttle-lift oversteer a b*tch. I've even tell my friends to spectate if they want to see a FWD car drift because it happens so often for me. Back on topic: no future performance plans?

Great looking teg. Nice progress. Would like to see the light output of he fog at night. They Flow so well better than I would of thought.
I would suggest a better flowing lip to go with the rest of the kit. And dump the GF is she doesn't love the Teg. |

I hear you on working on a budget. it isn't easy but slowly and doing it right is the way to go. I've learned that in more ways than one. I definitely like what your doing with your ride. from one silver teg owner to another. =) and props for the fogs i like them but i also like the 98+. still being different is always good and if it ultimately makes you happy then that's all that matters. oh and i'd be interested in the WW front lip let me know.

@reishou, thanks man. and i basically went about installing them by using a similar article that was installing the civic fogs on an accord. if ur really interested i can send you the link.
i9vdc2, lol @gf comment. and i honestly havent even thought of night pics up to this point, but i surely will take some with my new cam when i have a chance. especially since i have 8k hid/yellow fog contrast going on. i'll take some soon. elninolindo22, haha thanks man, yeah when your a poor working college student slow is basically the only pace you can go at lol! and i hear you on the the fogs, it's not that i hate the 98+ ones, they just aren't particularly my taste. and when i originally did my fogs i wasn't even trying to be diff, i just happened to really like those fogs lol dc2iggy, haha i hear that. in truth though, she actually does like my car, i think its just that day i might have gone overboard with the pics since i was excited about the new cam haha. |

Are those oem window visors or did you go the aftermarket route?
I'm trying to decide what kind to get. Nice car.

its actually pretty easy to tell by how thick mine look, but they're aftermarket. since i buy everything on budget, i got them brand new for only $25 in a local deal (i should have bought an extra pair). but i'd deff suggest the oem ones, they're WAAAY nicer looking, they're skinnier at the tip and flow better. mine are still perfect fitment, but i would suggest the oem ones.
