What I did with my old rear view was vise it and use a saw the cut off the mirror part, leaving only the "base", if you may, that way it would still hold the headliner board

Got one in my GS with the stock leathers. I'm 6 ft exactly and see pretty much everything going on in the back. It really does an amazing job of giving the driver more awareness than the stock or any other wide mirror can ever give. There's only 2 issues I find with the wink though.... 1.) Over time it has a tendancy to warp because of the heat..... 2.) It doesn't allow for the visors to be kept on which is a must for my passangers and myself. *another thing to note* It sits lower on the windshield since it's designed straight which can obstruct ur view depending on how tall u are. I find it satisfactory for the benefit it provides but I do sometimes find myself looking under it to check on the signal light. I'm currently working on making my own wink mirror out of wood that would curve with the windshield which in theory would give me more clearance out the window and sit farther away so as to not interfere with my visors. Just to conclude though, wink mirrors are awesome for their purpose. |

haha thanks for the comments everyone and yeaah i sense that not everyone digs the rear visor+roof combo, but i cant help it lol. i had the rear visor off after my paintjob for a while but i felt it was missing some pizzaz haha.
sounds like everyone has ideas on interesting ways to mod their wink mirror? but i agree it def gets rid of your blind spots (but of COURSE you should always still do shoulder checks.) i chose the easiest way to mount it using the stock sun visor holes lol.

shark 2 is cheap man, not sure if there is another option thats as clean as well as cheap like it is
www.LoCustom.com Edit: I take that back, back when a local member had his integra he had a hidden antenna mounted inside his hatch and deleted the antenna hole. Looked really good, but not sure how much or what it cost. |

I went with Shark II from locustom & I've been happy wit the result. $10.00 antenae is appealing, but $35.00 shipped for Shark is not a bad investment. Sleek & does the job + Easy install.
![]() Question: is there a reason you left the stock rear view on behind the wink?, or were you just test fitting? |

they sell windscreen anchors for the mirrors, that should help with warping, and move it a bit further from your head
